TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Please Please keep Lucifer on the air. Why is it that any show that is not moronically stupid or has the least bit of imagination present is in danger of cancellation. Is the American public so stupid that only the likes of The Simpsons or reality shows is popular?
We need to see more of Lucifer’s debauched antics, he is after all the Devil……
Excellent show……funny, witty but we need to see more of the devil and his debauched antics once more, he is after all Lucifer!!
I am obsessed with this show. Lucifer is handsome and smart and clever and loveable. I love every one of the characters on this witty, clever, wonderful show. Keep it going. More Maze on the show.
The writers have certainly made Luci a very complex character and in this season we can see his inner conflict between who Luci thinks he is and who he really is. As Luci said about himself back in Season 1 when he referred to himself as an onion with many layers. I think Pierce is either Dad in disguise or another relative of Luci’s and the Sinnerman may be whom we think of as the source of evil. In the final scene of this episode Amenadiel certainly hit the nail on the head and even Luci realises it. This series… Read more »
Are you kidding? How am I going to see Tom Ellis?????
What happened to the writing? We used to love this show and now it’s not worth watching. Too corny.
favorite show since beginning. Just crushed my DVR did not record the Season 2 Finale. Made triple sure it was set. When started watching new season, realized I had really MISSED SOMETHING BIG. Casting is terrific and each new character adds more. Love Linda, she brings it to “real life”. Love to hear more of Lucifer singing. Everyone is great and really have a grasp or their own interpretation of their character. Hope stays on LONG TIME. Adding the insane asylum with the man maybe being God – Perfect Casting. Sure wish I could be there and watch their magic.
I just finished watching Season 3, Episode 1 and if this episode is a preview or promise of what is to come then Season 3 is going to be better than the last 2 seasons.
Love the show’s premise….love it!
Love it!!!! Great tongue-in-cheek.
Love Love Love! ❤️
Lucifer is evil and don’t give tv entertainment to him. The Umpqua CC murderer of students and a teacher was a satanist and believed he would be admired in hell. Love God with all y0ur heart, mind, and soul and do His will with the Holy
Spirit help and the blood of Jesus. I’ve had a successful exorcism with our son
and don’t blaspheme God’s Word of Truth.
Season 3 of Lucifer is almost upon us. If Luci finally reveals his true face to Chloe this season I think it would be an absolute hoot if she says something along the lines of ,”So what else is new”, “Is that all you’ve got”. I just hope the writers have Chloe be completely blasé and Trixie saying something like “Cool face”.
I love the show. Please don’t cancel. One of the best shows I’ve seen in along time.
If the writers continue to do what they have done in the past Lucifer could be on for years.
