Cate Blanchett is teaming up with Amazon. Deadline reports the streaming platform has acquired the upcoming movie Lucy and Desi.
From Aaron Sorkin, the film chronicles the “tempestuous love/business relationship” between I Love Lucy stars Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Blanchett has been tapped to play the legendary comedienne.
Prime Video Studios has bought Lucy and Desi, which is being produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch.

I loved the series & the actors, would definitely watch & can’t wait. Not sure Cate Blanchett is the right actress to play Lucy but we’ll see.
In terms of looks, I would have selected Debra Messing – she looks so much like Lucille Ball
