AMC has announced their plans for some of their new and returning shows — Mad Men, Better Call Saul, Turn, Freakshow, Game of Arms, Small Town Security, and Halt and Catch Fire.
A new Revolutionary War spy thriller called Turn will debut on Sunday, April 6th (the same night that season four of Game of Thrones will launch) at 9pm with a 90 minute episode. The show stars Jamie Bell as a cabbage farmer who becomes a spy for General George Washington in the 1700s.
The first seven episodes of the final season of Mad Men are set to kick off on Sunday, April 13th, at 10pm. The final seven episodes will start airing some time in 2015. This strategy worked well for the cable channel and the final season of Breaking Bad.
Halt and Catch Fire, a computer drama that’s set in Texas in the 1980s, will premiere sometime in June. Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spin-off, is expected to debut in November.
A new arm-wrestling series called Game of Arms will launch February 25th, The third season of Small Town Security and the second season of Freakshow are expected in May.
The next season of Hell on Wheels is coming this summer.
What do you think? Will you be tuning in for any of these new and returning shows?
