What’s This TV Show About?
Based on Lev Grossman’s best-selling books, The Magicians TV show is set at the secret Brakebills University for Students of Magical Ability. Grad student Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) spends more time immersed in a fantasy book series than living his life. When he and his best friend Julia (Stella Maeve) are transported to Brakebills for an entrance exam, their world changes forever. In the second season, the Brakebills students find themselves navigating the enchanted, unpredictable world of Fillory. There, they will begin an even more perilous, dark and twisted journey. The Syfy cast also includes Olivia Taylor Dudley, Arjun Gupta, Hale Appleton, Summer Bishil, Jade Tailor, and Rick Worthy.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Magicians averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 788,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 7% in the demo and up by 2% in viewers. Find out how The Magicians stacks up against the other Syfy TV shows.

As long as this sci-fi drama maintains its current numbers, it should be safe from cancellation. If the season-to-season gains continue, Syfy will renew The Magicians for season three. The show is one of the cable channel’s best ratings performers in terms of both its demo numbers and audience size. Perhaps someone has cast a spell? Update: As expected The Magicians has been renewed.

Please please please renew!!! I love the Magicians! It’s Harry Potter meet narnia with a dash of game of thrones! The most spell binding, attention grabbing, sit on the edge of you seats show ever! I would be heartbroken if it gets canceled!!!
Magicians night is the one night a week I set aside tim for something I want!
Definitely renew for another season. We have watched this over and over. We purchased season one on DVD and can’t wait for season two to come out on DVD. We absolutely love watching this show. We can’t it for the next episode to air each week. Definitely out favorite!!!!
I really hope they don’t cancel this series. Been the best I have seen since charmed. Please do not cancel. I buy the DVD and watch it after work. So not all of us watch it on tv.

This show is great reality and fiction combined!!!
What a wonderful diverse cast. Tonight they used the best songs from Le Misurables to depict the passion and motive in a segment about the role of the players as they relate to going to battle. Outstanding set, cinematography, singing and acting. They need to be renewed to see where this goes. Magical costumes and performances.

This show is spectacular and I am so overjoyed to have a new favorite fantasy show. I particularly take pleasure in the fact that Magicians have not subscribed to the ordinary fantasy theme like DnD, GoT, and LotR. So many alluring things to see, special effects, magical creatures, and Fillory! The show incorporates so much and I am excited to see what is next. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie
The Magicians is unlike anything I’ve ever seen on television, and I wish more people knew about the show. It’s so well done and worth renewing. I would be very upset if this show were to get canceled ( I need this show in my life!).

Couldn’t agree absolutely amazing television
The ratings would have to absolutely tank to get the show cancelled. They won’t, so it will be back.
