Last week, we reported showrunner Frank Spotnitz was leaving The Man in the High Castle. Now, Spotnitz has spoken out about leaving the Amazon series after its first season, reports Deadline.
Based on the Philip K. Dick novel, the dystopian drama takes place in an alternative post-WWII America that’s run by the Nazis and the Japanese. Alexa Davalos, Luke Kleintank, Rufus Sewell, Rupert Evans, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Joel de la Fuente star.
Speaking at the Directors Guild of America Theater this week, Spotnitz said he was proud of the series:
No, I am hugely proud of the show and very excited about its future as well. I am really glad that you guys are here to call attention to the amazing work that everyone on stage has done.”
A new showrunner has not been named for season two, which is currently on hiatus from production.
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Man in the High Castle? Will you watch season two?
I hope this situation is resolved soon. This was my favorite new show this year and I’m eagerly awaiting Season 2.
