Cardi B is headed to BET. Recently, VH1 announced the Love & Hip Hop star has joined season four of the BET TV series Being Mary Jane.
The scripted drama centers on Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union), a successful Atlanta-based TV news anchor. The cast also includes Omari Hardwick and Lisa Vidal.
On Being Mary Jane, Cardi B will play Mercedes, “a round-the-way beauty with a big weave, big boobs and a big booty to match her oversized, ratchet personality.” She joins fellow new cast members Michael Ealy, Valarie Pettiford, Ashton Holmes, and Chiké Okonkwo.
Season four of Being Mary Jane is slated to debut in early 2017.

BET’s audience reach is amazing from an ad agency perspective. The quality of the audience and audience loyalty make each viewer and household very valuable. Being Mary Jane is a prime example BET’s programming and the ad packages reflecting real efficacy with ad dollars. Other Cable Nets should follow their lead.
