It was looking like Mike & Molly might be cancelled this time around but CBS has renewed it for a sixth season.
On Mike & Molly, Molly (Melissa McCarthy) pursues her career as a writer while Mike (Billy Gardell) continues working as a cop. The rest of the cast includes Swoosie Kurtz, Katy Mixon, Louis Mustillo, Reno Wilson, Cleo King, Rondi Reed, Nyambi Nyambi, and David Anthony Higgins.
The 13 episodes of season five that have aired so far have averaged a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.97 million viewers. Season-to-season, that’s down slightly in the demo but up a bit in viewership. It’s the sixth-highest rated sitcom on the network this season.
Mike & Molly producer Julie Bean posted an Instagram photo of executive producer Chuck Lorre delivering the news to the production team.
Mom has also been renewed for the 2015-16 season. The Big Bang Theory is one season into a three season renewal so Lorre will have at least three comedies on CBS next season.

My husband and I absolutely love this show ! I haven’t laughed this hard since Lucy was on TV. We are always watching the reruns and never get tired of them. Can’t wait for the next season .

It should be continued. The characters are so funny, especially Carl’s mom…lol…i want to see more seasons….heck…i would see Season100 if I am still around…hehe.

I don’t know what I would do without this show!!!! It’s my favorite since Roseanne. Mike and Molly should be signed on for 10 more seasons!!!! I watch 3 reruns every night while I walk over 3 miles on my treadmill…. I have seen every episode 15 times and still love watching them over and over.. I have laughed so hard I’ve almost fallen off my treadmill a zillion times!!!! My Husband and I absolutely love love love Mike and Molly. We just hate to have to wait so long for the beginning of Season 6. But it’s definitely part of our bonding time.
I’m so glad that Mike and Molly has been renewed for another season, I think it’s hilarious! I literally can’t wait for the new episodes its lived here in the uk just as much as in the states it’s just a little harder to find 😉 the whole cast is brilliant and I love everything Melissa McCarthy does she’s pure comedy genius!!
i love this show. No killing, just funny and makes me laugh and enjoy it so much. The actors are all good and well so happy it has been picked up again. Nothing is better then a good comedy .
I think Mike and Molly is a great show. Comedy is so much more difficult and yet they never fail to make me laugh.

Mike and Molly episodes leave me laughing hysterically. But I’m wondering if Reno Wilson will be coming back for the 6th season being the way the 5th season ended with Carl not showing up at the end. The whole cast makes the show, they’re so talented. I love Melissa McCarthy, I’m from Chicago and she grew up right on the outskirts. I hope they keep coming back, keep coming back .

I am very happy to know that Mike and Molly are coming back for a sixth season! Very real and entertaining. Lots of funny!! If Two and a Half men can make it over ten years, I mean come on now!!! Mike and Molly doesn’t have to be totally trashy, crude and raunchy !!!!Love it!!
