Andie MacDowell is coming to ABC. Deadline reports the actress and three others have been cast in the network’s new pilot, Model Women.
The drama is based on Robert Lacey’s book, Model Woman: Eileen Ford And The Business Of Beauty.
Set in the 1970s, Model Women will follow Andie MacDowell as Bertie Geiss, “a tempestuous matriarch and uncompromising businesswoman at the helm of an internationally renowned modeling agency.” Joining MacDowell will be Nicole Ari Parker, Caitlin Carver, and Madeline Blake.
Parker has been cast as “Helenjane Harris, a former model who runs her own modeling agency.” Carver will play an aspiring photographer named Michelle while Blake plays Gemma, a new model at the Geiss Agency.
Model Women comes from writer Helen Childress and director Richard Shepard.
