This Modern World is coming to the small screen. Deadline reports the weekly comic strip is being adapted into an animated series.
Launched in 1988, the comic is written by Dan Perkins (aka Tom Tomorrow) and offers a satirical and surreal take on current events, especially politics.
Animation house Film Roman has acquired the rights to This Modern World and is developing the episodic series for TV. The production company has previously worked on shows like The Simpsons and King of the Hill.
From Perkins:
Film Roman is the ideal company to produce a series based on the strip, considering its immensely successful track record over the years.”
