Last season, CBS introduced several new sitcoms. Most were cancelled but Mom was renewed for a second season. Will the ratings rise or fall this year? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
On Mom, a single mom in recovery (Anna Faris) returns to live with her single mother, who’s also in recovery (Allison Janney). The cast of the show includes Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Spencer Daniels, Matt L. Jones, Nick Corddry, Mimi Kennedy, and French Stewart.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/11 update: CBS has renewed Mom for a third season for 2015-16.
Final season averages: 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.99 million total viewers.

For comparisons: The first season of Mom averaged a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.57 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Mom TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a third season?
Trashy show for trashy people, I suppose. Don’t know how people find it funny. Of course, that’s more a matter of the writing and the show’s producers than the actual actors.
We watch the show & love the actors & the characters they play. Please renew it for the next season!! Always look forward to watching it – love to laugh & that it does!!
My husband and me love the show Mom. It is the best show on TV. Hopefully it will be back!
My husband and I loved this show, It was a heart warming fun comed that we looked forward to watching it each week. And then they killed Alvin. It changed the whole feel of the show for us, in a bad way. Big mistake. We won’t be watching it anymore.
My husband and I love this show. Every character is fantastic. The storyline is terrific. Great job writers and actors! Keep the show on, please. Would love to see Alvin back though. Could it be moved up to an hour? Cannot get enough.
I really love the show, and look forward to watching them each week. I like Bonnie’s ex-husband Alvin and I think he really adds a lot to the show. However, I did not like the idea of killing off his character. He was funny and he and Bonnie really had a good thing going. If it aint broke, why try to fix it? I just think it was not a good idea, and their romance and jokes were really funny. They seem to have that special chemistry that don’t come easy with sitcom characters. Bring back Alvin and lets see… Read more »
I liked mom. the one with the cats was so darn funny. I also liked how the mom’s dad started dating her mom again. SORRY I DON’T KNOW THEIR NAMES.
it was so cute and warming to see the young mom, her dad and her mom all getting along and what a good story line they could have.
BUT INSTEAD YOU KILLED THE DAD OFF. I cried and then I cancelled the show for good.
I hope the show gets better for everyone else, but this is just not for me anymore.
Yup!, Killing off Alvin was a huge mistake!!!!!!!
This show is awesome. The cast has really “gelled” and are doing a great job! I’d rather it back on Monday nights with 2 Broke Girls.
saw two episodes of this show back in Oct and I want my hour back.
Worst show ever. Needed to be cancelled last season. Just like the Millers with drugs and booze.
that’s why it is popular and the millers wasn’t
I Love the show too. I hope they give Baxter a bigger role. The actor that plays him is hilarious.
Winning!
