Though it hasn’t been a ratings success, ABC has kept Nashville on the air. Will the numbers continue to fall this season? Is there a chance that it could be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season (because of potential syndication profits)? We’ll have to wait and see.

The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Final season averages: 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
