NCIS: Hawai’i was cancelled by CBS on Friday, and those involved with the series have taken to social media to share their reactions and gratitude to their co-workers and viewers.
The series follows the NCIS team stationed at Pearl Harbor. It stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson, and Kian Talan. LL Cool J, whose NCIS: Los Angeles series was cancelled last year, joined the series for season three as a special guest star.
Two of the series’ creators, Christopher Silber and Matt Bosack, posted the following about the cancellation of NCIS: Hawai’i.

“Gutted, confused, blindsided. Grateful, confident, beloved fans,” Lachey wrote on her Instagram account. “Processing this news and still being present with my family. I Love You all!” She added, “Mahalo Nui Loa,” which translates to “Thank you very much”.
Writer Amy Rutberg and other members of the cast also reacted to the news.

The de facto series finale of NCIS: Hawai’i will air on May 6th.

What a HORRIBLE thing for CBS to do to this cast and its fans. Also pretty rude to spring it on everyone after filming had been done for the season and to spring on fans with just over a week til the last episode. CBS Executives have no clue what their viewers want. Cancel the great shows and save the crap like Fire Country! SAVE this show!

What is wrong with CBS? They cancel shows with good ratings because they have too many new shows they have to add to the schedule and don’t have room!! Too bad, hold those shows and keep the good ones like NCIS Hawaii, NCIS Los Angels , Magnum PI and CSI Vegas. CBS executives need to be replaced !!!

Annd the FIRST Female Lead character! RENEW NCIS HAWAII!! Guve the a chance like the orig one. Make it work for all of us!!We ALL LOVE this show!!!!!

This was the one show week after week that I looked forward to….Very disappointed!!!
IMO, it started off very good and just got better and better. The entire cast felt like family. This is the worst CBS cancellation since they dropped Magnum PI.

LL Cool J made it worth watching g, if only for a short time. I hope he finds a new gig soon. He is always cool!
