The CW was pleased with the performance of this week’s series finale of One Tree Hill. While the show’s ratings have come way down over the years, these numbers were pretty good compared most of the rest of the network’s current programming.

“ONE TREE HILL” Matches Season Highs for CW Wednesday Night in Key Demos
March 23, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – Last night’s special two-hour series finale of ONE TREE HILL gave The CW its highest rated Wednesday night among women 18-34 (1.4/4) in more than a year (since 2/23/11), according to preliminary Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
Last night matched season high Wednesday night ratings in adults 18-34 (0.9/3), adults 18-49 (0.8/2) and women 18-49 (1.1/3). It was The CW’s best Wednesday night in adults 18-34 since premiere week (9/14/11), and best adults 18-49 and women 18-49 ratings since 12/7/11.
Versus Wednesday of this same week last year, last night was up 50% in adults 18-34, 40% in women 18-34 and 33% in adults 18-49.
Week to week, last night was up 29% in adults 18-34, 27% in women 18-34 and 14% in adults 18-49.
