Carter Bays and Craig Thomas know a thing or two about creating a comedy series. The duo were behind How I Met Your Mother. Bays and Thomas are now developing a new comedy, titled Open Arms, which may land on FOX.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the following about the plot of the series:

“The single-camera comedy, which landed at Fox with a script commitment, revolves around Howie and Joy, who realize that they can’t have a baby and instead take their nest egg and buy the Vermont inn they visit annually — only to quickly realize they’re in over their heads.”
