WGN America only has a few original drama series but that hasn’t stopped the cable channel from cancelling their low-rated shows. Outsiders performed pretty well in the ratings in its first season. Will viewers return to watch season two? Will the Outsiders TV show be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A drama series, Outsiders is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who has lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years and are at odds with those who live outside of their community. The cast of this WGN America show includes Joe Anderson, David Morse, Ryan Hurst, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Thomas M. Wright, and Christina Jackson.

This is an excellent show. I’m mostly indifferent to show cancellations but this one I’m sad about. On a better platform (Netflix, Hulu) this show could do much better. It’s unique and that is rare. Have we learned nothing from Firefly? At least give it a proper ending.
