TV show description:
This drama series is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years.
The Farrells live off the grid and above the law, enforcing their own set of long-held values and beliefs. They are governed by a simple but powerful tribal authority led by a Bren’in, or ruler, and a small council of elders.
Notoriously secretive and unforgiving when crossed, the Farrells find themselves in conflict with the residents of the nearest town nestled at the foot of Shay Mountain. These locals — and all others outside the tribe — embody greed, malice and all forms of corruption that must be avoided at any cost. Direct contact with the ‘Losties’ (as named by the Farrells) is strictly forbidden.
For the last 20 years, an uneasy truce has generally presided between the ‘Losties’ and the family tribe of Shay Mountain — until Big Coal enters the arena. Never ones to back down from a fight, the Farrells will ultimately defend their way of life using any available means.
Characters include: Big Foster (David Morse), the gruff and powerful heir to tribe leadership. His son is Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst), a massive mountain man.
Young and intuitive Hasil (Kyle Gallner) feels rejected by the group. Lady Ray (Phyllis Somerville), the regal yet tough leader of the Farrell clan.
Asa (Joe Anderson) is a former member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a 10-year stint with the outside world. Asa’s trusted confidante is G’Winveer (Gillian Alexy), a healer and a survivor.
Beautiful and young, Sally-Ann (Christina Jackson) is from a mining town and she’s fascinated by the Farrells (Hasil, in particular).
Haylie (Francie Swift) is a clever and cunning all-American community relations manager who represents the encroaching coal company.
Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) is a cop who has a rough and mysterious history with the Farrells, and grapples with several personal troubles of his own.

What do you think? Do you like the Outsiders TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
W g n does it again cancelling another Good show I was a big fan way to go network what happened to Manhattan ???????
Please don’t get rid of the Outsiders…this show is one of the best series we have watched in a long time.
This was a wonderful show, why does TV always cancel the good shows and leave all that sitcom junk, game shows, talk shows on that isn’t worth watching. Bring this season back, give us something good to watch.
My favorite show on TV can’t believe y’all cancelled it bad move WGN!!
This is great show that brings to light the good and evil of progress in the so called civillized world, I’m no tree hugger but believe we should be responsible choices involving eco-friendly progress and all the lives that are touched
You should rethink this WGN for its the only thing I ever watch on your station. Great show with lots of potential if you have good writers. Dumb move.
Rethink the decision of cancelling this show. I love it and I am extremely upset by this decision. It’s the only time I watch WGN.
Let the show continue thru Netflix
THIS IS THE ONLY SERIES I WATCH I CANT BELIEVE YOU WOULD EVEN CONSIDER CLOSING THIS SHOW IT NEEDS TO CONTINUE SO I CAN SEE THE SHERIFF ARREST THE SMART CRIMAL WHO POSIONED THEIR WATER AND LAND HE NEED TO GO TO JAIL I HAVE FAITH IN THE SHERRIFF TO DO JUST THAT
Don’t no what the reason is for canceling it. But its a great show. Not another story about the wealthy elite fighting each other to keep power and wealth for themselves. But a story of of common people who just want to live freely off the land. Fighting the corruption of a greedy system that frowns down upon their life style and would see them crashed and destroyed for their land and its resources just for money. maybe that’s why they want to cancel it. The story hits to close to home for to many people.
This show was the only reason I even watched WGN!! Way to screw it up new guy!
PLEASE RENEW !!
This show has kept our attention both seasons. I can not believe that it ended the way it did. Please rethink your decision to cancel and bring it back.
I can’t believe you cancelled this amazing show. The way the show ended was shameful. None of the story lines were completed. There was no closure.
I can’t believe that you have cancelled such a good show. It was shameful that the series finale left all of the story lines unfinished. There was no closure. You could have at least brought closure to the series. I am so disappointed in WGN.
