Back in 2003, FOX launched the Paradise Hotel reality series and it was cancelled after one season. The series was revived in 2008 for MyNetworkTV and Fox Reality Channel and it was dropped again. Now, FOX is trying Paradise Hotel again. Will this new incarnation see a second season or, will it also be cancelled after a single season? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A dating competition series, Paradise Hotel follows a bunch of sexy single people to a tropical getaway resort. They’re surrounded by sun and fun but they have to pair up and thrive in a wild competition to stay in the game and hope to win a cash prize. Each week, one contestant must leave the hotel to make room for a new guest. Home viewers get to play along and influence the game via social media. Kristin Cavallari hosts the series.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Paradise Hotel TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX?
*8/7/19 update: FOX has officially cancelled this low-rated reality series.
FOX cancelled the show and moved up the premiere date for So You Think You Can Dance.
Not the type of TV for my family…… disgusting ……
Don’t b&tch! This isn’t catered for families!
I’m normally not interested in reality shows, but with Paradise Hotel, it was love at first sight. I’m absolutely addicted to it and could watch it 24/7. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the current show is almost as great as the original. I would also like to see a “Where Are They Now?” with the original contestants. Btw, I’m 51.
