Last night, NBC aired the final two episodes of their mystery-thriller series, Persons Unknown. The show revolves around a group of people who wake up in a small town and must figure out how to survive and escape. The cast includes Chadwick Boseman, Lee Purcell, Jason Wiles, Andy Greenfield, Daisy Betts, Tina Holmes, Alan Ruck, Kate Lang Johnson, Sean O’Bryan, and Gerald Kyd.
NBC waited until summer to air Persons Unknown; a time when fewer people watch television and their isn’t much competition. On Monday nights, it got very poor ratings, even for a summer show, and was consequently sent to the TV graveyard known as Saturday nights.
Remi Aubuchon, one of the show’s executive producers, has said that the show was originally envisioned to have self-contained seasons but could easily run for multiple years. Based on the ratings and their treatment of the series, it is highly unlikely that NBC will bring Persons Unknown back for a second season.
What do you think? In all likelihood, last night’s installment is the final episode. What do you think of the Persons Unknown finale? Were enough questions answered in “Shadows in the Cave” to satisfy you?

That ending absolutely sucked. It was stupid, and it did NOT answer any question, only gave me more questions I needed answered. They should do another season to give the loyal fans some real closure. Give us something. But I’m sure that won’t happen, because they didn’t even air one epidsode. So in short we’re just screwed. It gave us a little than just enough to keep us interested, and to top everything off they say by the end of it all our questions will be answered. I only got one thing to say to that: BULL**IT!! I won’t say… Read more »
‘Persons unknown’ is very captivating in each episode…
Give a chance and place it in a better time zone…
It was a long time since a saw a very interresting tv program…
I wish NBC will bring it back for season two …for the fans.
$&@?ing. NBC they left all there loyal fans hanging . At least do a ?!&@ing mini series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No all they care about is ratings!
Those $&@?!$&@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoyed it and I want to see more. I want to see what happens with Joe and the new group plus Janet and the others going to stage 2.
Thought it was a stupid episode. I was very disappointed I couldn’t watch it on my regular tv instead of my computer.
If this is truly the end of the series, I feel that the viewers were unfairly led into going this far into the series & have it shut down like it did, without letting the viewers know whether or not to expect it to continue via another season.
Why is this show going to be cancelled? Does NBC take in consideration the people that watch shows ondemand? It would be such a disappointment to cancel this show!
MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS ENJOYED WATCHING PERSONS UNKNOWN AND WANT MORE. LAST NIGHT WAS NOT AN ENDING.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! The Final episode left you with more questions than it did answers.
NBC lied to us. Instead of closure, we got cliffhangers.
My apologies for the typo …. “watch..ing”
OMG… I just got finished watching the finale and for those who haven’t seen it, I won’t include any spoilers. However, I feel compelled to say that was a complete waste of 13 episodes…. providing that this was the final of finals. If they were to pull something out of the hat and go for a second season, I would definitely be inclinded to watch it, however, somebody in hollywood needs to pull their collective heads out of thier @zz3s and create an ending that is …. hold it… wait for it… A @&@%$&@^%#&@ing ending. Sometimes I’m just amazed at… Read more »
Even though some things were left hanging, or rather continuously confusing, I had fun with it till the end. The ending was typical of this type of fare – “FlashForward” virtually ended the same way with everything starting all over again. The same sort of precedent the old Twilight Zones created. It’s always fun, albeit, predicatable, but there probably aren’t many alternatives. The fact that they ended it with Joe trapped once again, but this time with a new bunch and the same crew as before being sent to Level 2 were a couple welcomed twists. The only disappointment comes… Read more »
that is my comment
not since “flashforward” was abruptly killed without answering ANYTHING, have my wife and I been so throughly disgusted! Besides not only skipping one or more episodes being shown, there were no soluti0ns. At least “Lost” had some kind of ending.
As a french fan, I just have one thing to say : I WANT A SECOND SEASON !!!!! Please… I beseech you !
