This is a great show that has humor and drama blended perfectly. I think this is yet another show that has been beaten before it can begin because of one simple thing, no pilot. In a pilot you are able to see who the characters are, what the show is about, and what people like and dislike about the show. You also don’t spend millions of dollars in production only to make half or less of that in advertising before it is canceled. And if it is not widely liked by the audience on the particular network they may choose to scrap the show or sell it to another network who may wish to spend the money needed to finish the show properly. The best example of this is Monk, originally cast and shot for NBC but they were never able to get the ball rolling. They then passed it down to their sister network USA and viola, an award winning show is born. I just do not understand how these networks can get away with what they are doing. Anyways this is a good show, sorry this post turned into a rant about how foolish the network executives are.
I am a paralegal and really enjoy watching The Deep End. It’s fast and sassy and pretty true to form on the legal issues (dramatic license aside). Please do not cancel TDE.
Please please Please dont cancel this fabulous show. It has a great cast, especially Billy Zane. It would be a mistake to let it go. Best show you have on.
I enjoy watching the show. The cast is great and its great to see Billy Zane. Everyone gives solid performances. It would be a shame not to give this show a fair run, at least a season. Also, are hulu.com statistics counted? If not, they should be. I’ve watch a lot of TV on Hulu because I find the commercials more target, too the point and most importantly, less intrusive. In addition, I watch the shows I like when its convenient for me.
This show has a lot of potential and I am already invested in the characters (nicely fleshed out by a talented cast). Promote it & don’t give up on it too soon, ABC.
