Although the Pitch TV show was cancelled after just one season on FOX, executive producer Kevin Falls is pitching a TV movie to give some closure to the 10-episode drama series.
Pitch stars Kylie Bunbury as pitcher Ginny Baker — the first woman to play Major League Baseball. The FOX cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
During an interview, with Entertainment Weekly, Falls was asked about a potential wrap-up. Check it out:
Are you able to tape any sort to epilogue?
That’s come up recently. We didn’t shoot an alternative ending to our season, that’s how confident we were that we were coming back. When Dan Fogelman gets back from directing his movie, Rick Singer and I will huddle with him and talk about it. But it has to make creative sense, not to mention whether Fox would ever pay for it and whether the actors would agree to do it. This would be unprecedented, which immediately makes it a long shot.What’s next for you?
I’m going to build a time machine, convince Fox to move Pitch to midseason 2017 and then go back to 2007 and convince NBC to un-cancel the time travel show, Journeyman.

I am kinda disappointed that they cancelled the show as it finally brought something new to the table but a film to at lest provide a proper ending sounds like a good idea or even just 2 or 3 episodes to end the show.

I loved Pitch and am very disappointed they cancelled it. I agree that good shows seem to get cancelled and crummy ones continue. I’d watch a movie that wraps it up, but would rather they brought it back.

Pitch was my favourite show. I loved it. It was encouraging for girls, it had interesting characters with stories that Need to be addressed. I really want the show to continue, on another network, or Netflix, or something. But if not, I would Love to see some sort of rap up for the show. I just really need to know what happens.
It is unfortunate and sad to see Pitch fade away after 10 episodes. The stories were great and most of the characters were critical to the show.
How is Pitch doing on “FOXNOW”? Is it picking up enough traffic to reconsider the series?
Yes to a Goodbye for Pitch. I was hoping another network would pick it up , but that would be the next best thing
I have been waiting for Pitch to return on FOX. I’m really pissed that it was cancelled!! You need to give it a chance.
What a pity! I loved this show. I loved the main characters and the sexual tension between them. Unpleasantly surprised that it has been cancelled.

Pitch was a great show, in particular because it encouraged girls to follow their ambition to do things that had been reserved men and boys. If FOX’s powers that be decided that the show’s ratings wouldn’t generate enough advertising money, they should have told the show’s producers ahead of time that the show would be cancelled at the end of the season so that the producers could have ended the series satisfactorily. I think the show was great n got a raw deal with the schedule it was given. And if it is canceled by some idiots they deffinetly owe it to the fans n cast to finish the story with a movie. Or else this is an example of poor programing who don’t have a clue on what the viewers want. It was the programets fault for not believing in the shoe in the first place n putting in that crazy schedule.
I LOVED that show and am very disappointed that it is being cancelled so quickly. I think it was just starting to catch on when it eas cancelled. It’s always the good shows that cancelled and the Reality garbage that gets kept. I have enough REALITY in my life….I looked forward to escaping it for that hour that PITCH was on…. and YES, if it is really NOT coming back, I would love to see a movie to tie up the loose ends.

Pitch was a wonderful family show with good bones! The executives needed to give the show a chance for everyone to “get in the game”!!! I am so disappointed, so disappointed. Please film a goodbye movie for all the fans to get closure.
