Earlier today, FOX chairman and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman noted that they’d love to revive Prison Break, the action drama that starred Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. It ran for four seasons and wrapped up with a movie.
Newman said, “There is some speculation in the press about Prison Break, which honestly was slightly news to us…. Although we’ve made it clear over the years to the studio that we would bring Prison Break back in a heartbeat.”
He continued, “It’s probably the perfect event series. If our old partners in that show are interested, that would be great. But at the moment, we have nothing else to report.”
Purcell and Miller are currently recurring in their roles as villains Heat Wave and Captain Cold on The Flash on The CW. That series was renewed for a second season earlier this week.

It’s amazing how so many years after the end of the series Prison Break, people are still watching and falling in love for the story told (loyalty, friendship, commitment, romance without sex appeal). Indeed, the moral background of this series goes far beyond anything that is currently being shown. I believe that for this reason people feel such a need for new seasons. How funny would it be if Michael Scofield faked his death in order to get away from people hunting him (new antagonists)? Years after he faked his death the new antagonists find he’s alive. His grown child would also come into play. Also say, he got cured of what killed him. It would be REALLY cheap, but I don’t think the fans would mind! Might be better than a series that tries to fit itself into another time period in the show’s timeline, and how could you explain that the characters are older now?

You are all crazy in the first place for even cancelling the show. There were so many fans. This show was amazing. I got a prescription to netflix for crying out loud just to watch the seasons over and over again. All 4 seasons I finished within two days. Thats right TWO DAYS! Bring the show back u idiots!!!
