Quantico will see the arrival of a Gossip Girl star on the next episode. The ABC series has cast Kelly Rutherford as Shelby’s believed-to-be dead mother.

It was revealed on the last episode that Shelby’s parents were not as dead as she thought. She believed her parents died in the 9/11 attacks fifteen years ago, but they have been hiding from her instead. The arrival of Shelby’s parents will complicate things for Shelby with Caleb and his mother.

Kevin Kilner, from Almost Perfect, has been cast as Shelby’s father. Rutherford’s casting on Quantico reunites her with Josh Safran. He is the man in charge of Quantico, and he worked with Rutherford on Gossip Girl.
