Queen of the South will continue its reign. Deadline reports USA Network has renewed the TV show for a fifth season.
The drama stars Alice Braga as Teresa Mendoza, a woman on the run from a powerful drug cartel, who seeks refuge in the U.S. The cast also includes Veronica Falcón, Hemky Madera, Peter Gadiot, Jon-Michael Ecker, Idalia Valles, and Nick Sagar.
It’s not surprising USA Network has renewed Queen of the South for a fifth season. The series has been one of the network’s top-rated shows since it debuted in 2016. And so far, season four has been no different.
Queen of the South is currently averaging a .29 rating in the 18-49 demo and 911,000 viewers. Even though that’s a near 20% drop in the ratings since season three, the show remains popular with fans.
The season four finale of Queen of the South premieres on USA Network tonight, August 29th, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Hell yeah!!!!! The show is very moving, powerful and exciting. I do not glorify drugs or condon it, but it pleases me to see people of color make the money. I applaud alice braga for bringing some honesty and sincerity to the game. That’s family. Veronica is good as the evil one. The supporting cast is dynamic!!! This show is epic. The best show ever. I didn’t watch alot of tv b4 this show. It’s storyline is amazing and James back plus George still around. Yes it’s bout to go down. Can’t wait for season 5.. im already on the edge of my seat
I love this show and have seen every episode of every season. I am super excited about season 5.
This is also my favorite show. Then again, I really liked “The Brave” and that was cancelled after one season. Thankfully “Queen of the South” has fared better. I’m really looking forward to Season 5 and hopefully, many more seasons after thatl. Actually, I wish there were more episodes per season.
