Fans of the Throne of Glass book series by Mark Gordon Company may soon see the series brought to the small screen. Hulu is adapting the book series into a television series titled Queen of Shadows.
Deadline shared the following about the plot of the project:
“Queen of Shadows follows Celaena Sardothien, a complicated female assassin with a mysterious past who only wants her freedom. Now beholden to an increasingly tyrannous king, Celaena will become a reluctant hero against the multitudes of forces that threaten to destroy her world. Along the way she will make friends, enemies, and lovers, and be wildly underestimated by all of them.”
Kira Snyder, from The 100, is set to write the adaptation, and Anna Foerster, from Underworld: Blood Wars, is set to direct the potential pilot episode.
Are you a fan of the Throne of Glass book series? Would you watch the television series? Tell us what you think.
This is my favorite series hands down. I can’t wait for the Pilot episode! Is there a date for it yet?
The “Throne of Glass” series is an incredible piece of literature. Sarah Maas is extraordinarily talented, and I cannot rave enough about the gripping plot to this series. These books are so well written, and I absolutely recommend them. I am extremely excited for the tv show, but they will have a lot to live up to. I can’t wait for the pilot episode!
This is my all time favorite book series and I am so excited to be made into a tv series! This is an amazing book series and I have high hopes for the television series. I hope they follow the books and I can’t wait to watch it.
My favorite book series is going to have a TV series!!! Really excited to see the cast and hope that it follows the book. Better t ruing the Throne of Glass series for me though.
i love these books i couldn’t stop reading, and if it became a tv series i wouldn’t stop watching i would love to see my favorite book series air!
I started squeezing when I first saw this and haven’t stop!!! So excited to see one of my favorite book series come to life!
And here I was, getting ready to cancel my Hulu account. This will be really interesting to see how they adapt this series. There will be difficult characters to cast. I look forward to seeing what Snyder and Foerster come up with. 🙂
Personally I think Sarah J. Mass’ writing is so good that I’m just setting myself up for dissapointment with the announcement of a tv series. I’ll probably take a peak but I’m not holding any high expectations. Nothing can beat Sarah J. Maas’ story telling on paper!
When will the cast be picked?
anticipated date for the pilot release?
There are no words for how much I want to see this tv-show
Oh my gosh I’m so excited to watch this new tv series especially because its written by the same person who wrote the 100 (the 100 is my second favorite tv show only after OUAT)
The Throne of Glass series is my absolute favorite series of all time. Sarah J Maas is great at both character-building and world-building and I’ve always wanted this to become a TV show or at least a very cool movie. I cant wait to see how all of our favorite characters (Celaena, Chaol, Dorian, Rowan, Sam, Arobynn, Lysandra, Nehemia, and more) come alive on screen!
I cannot wait for this show to start
I cant wait i am a huge fan of this series and i hope that they don’t ruin it with the tv show.also they needvto make surevthat they get thevrught cast andvthatvthey acually look like the characters i know that is hard but u have to try. Also behave read other comments and people that say it is racists(u know who i am talking about) get a freaking life and stop worrying about how a book series that doesn’t have an equal amount of black and Asian caharacters or better yet read the damn books and then u will understand… Read more »
Is it worthwhile mentioning the authors name Sarah J. Maas rather than suggesting the books are written by the Mark Gordon Company
I agree. The full credit should go to Sarah J. Maas.
