TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Unbelievable, this was the best show. Couldn’t wait for the season to start. I hope a different station picks it up, please don’t leave us hanging. What we don’t need is another season of reality TV. I am so disappointed, this was our one show that we actually watched together and enjoyed.
Why would they cancel it u ask cause we dont matter just about the dollars
::Sigh:: My husband and I both really miss this show. It was the only hour of tv each week we made sure to watch together. Truly missed. If only it would be picked up elsewhere.
The best show I’ve ever watched on tv. NBC just disrespects its own viewers by canceling such a fantastic show. Revolution is loved by millions worldwide and has a huge fanbase on Twitter trying to find a new home for the show. We need everyone to support the petition to save Revolution (74125 signatures by now) http://www.thepetitionsite.com/553/454/200/revolution-season-3/
We want #RevolutionSeason3 and beyond! #RelocateRevolution @netflix !!!
Sad , sad, sad, my son and I watched this show every week . Truly a great loss!
I can’t believe the network would cancel Revolution! I’ve been searching for it thinking it was yet to come. This is truly a fantastic show with outstanding cast members. Why, oh, why?! Revolution was different, the plot was innovative and thought provoking. With the garbage programing on most stations, this was fresh air.
Call me slow but until about 5 minutes ago I only suspected that Revolution was cancelled. I naively thought that maybe the ‘Powers-That-Be’ were just number crunching, or spit-balling on The direction (of many several options available) to take. I refused (again supremely naive) to believe that; an awesome cast, terrific story line, and huge fan base… They would actually cancel it was plainly ridiculous! Please bring it back or at least move it to another network. This show deserves to still be on tv. Btw: I’ve never before posted or blogged, I’m a full time employed in customers svcs.… Read more »
Why cancel a top class show, highlight of the week waiting off the next episode.
Not that my opinion really counts, but I think it is a huge mistake canceling this show. There is so much more to this show and it doesn’t not seem like the time to end it. I personally love the show and am sad to see it go. I wish the powers of be would reconsider. Bring it back for one last season and end it properly!
this show could have gone on for at least 3-4 more years! the writing and the actors were all just brilliant! I’m so missing it now! how about a movie trilogy? lol
Revaluation was a really good show. NBC you have made a mistake cancelling this series. Please at least film a finale. After investing several years into a series that both my husband I really enjoyed it is such a letdown. It was one of the best series on TV.
NBC will probably purple on another stupid reality program!
OMG…what a huge dissapointment! I have been waiting for Months for the the next season, and I find out it’s cancelled! Say it isn’t so, love this show, and i agree with everyone else! BRING IT BACK!
I. Think the folks that cancelled this should be fired
Love the series. Wish there were another season.
I would like Revolution renewed. I loved the show
