TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I really would like to know why they keep canceling good shows although I didn’t know about the show until he came out on Netflix I really got addicted to it and they had to go and cancel it damn guys why don’t they just leave good shows running this is been happening a lot lately it’s very unfortunate!!!
My wife, friends and I loved this show. Hope it starts up again with another network. We’ll be hopeful that it may be picked up by another network that has the smarts to see how great this show was!!!!!!!!! Plus the fact the final episode has left us hanging as to the possibilities of where the plot is going. All of us will miss this show. Too short of a run. Maybe a movie could come out of this?????
‘Loved this show – especially the casting! ‘Hope it gets picked up again by someone, and maybe the writing can focus more on the premise of the show – surviving in a post-electricity world more and fighting enemies a little less.
This was a GREAT TV show that I didn’t even know existed until Netflix and it’s awesome. Had I known it was on TV I would have definitely followed it. From what I understand, NBC moved around the times of the show & that is probably why I didn’t know about it. They should bring back this show and keep it at a regular time slot. They can’t expect the ratings to stay at a constant level if they move the show around. Anyway, I for one would definitely love to see this show renewed. Give it another shot and… Read more »
Love this show I hope another channel picks it up. Great writting. You never knew what was happen next
They cancelled yet another really great show, with dam good actors, and a great plot. Bring it back!!!!!
Now we know why CBS is kicking NBC’S butt. Everytime they get a keeper the dump it.
Sorry it was cancelled. LOVED LOVED LOVED the show….
It never fails!!! Every time they come out with a tv show that’s a hit and I get addicted to….They cancel it!!!! I guess they have to make room for another stupid ass reality show or something no one watches!!!! Way to go NBC!!! You’re as bad as VIACOM..
I dont know it was grear series why it should be cancelled.
i think the rullers in production companies must have rulles as when they start any project they must finish it , better study before production till cancelled them in the middle of the way.
it is not epic work.
I liked the show, but I can see why it was cancelled.
The ratings dropped and the writing kept getting worse. NBC should have continued with a new team of writers, but that is NBC’s problem. They will cancel shows left and right, rather than invest in the shows people really like.
You can’t tell me more people watch Grimm than any other show on in that time slot.
Thank god they stopped making it. It was bad and just got worse. I don’t know how it even got a second series.
This sucks! I just love Revoution. I have been waiting, with bated breath, for the next season to start and just found out it was cancelled. This is a tragedy. As others before me said, either bring it back or let another network take it over.
Revolution was both clever and intriguing. It had good acting and special effects. Big mistake taking it off. Perhaps the network needed room for another ignorant reality show.
Why in the hell would u cancell this show. It’s best show ever u gotta bring it back or I will cry everyday
