Many of the characters from the Riverdale TV show on The CW have been around for 75 years in the pages of Archie comics. But, how long with this TV show last? Will it be a hit in the ratings or a flop? Will Riverdale be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
The Riverdale TV show begins with a new school year and the residents of this small town are still reeling from the tragic and mysterious death of the high school’s golden boy. Nothing seems the same. Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) now wants to pursue a career in music and not follow in the footsteps of his dad (Luke Perry). His friend Betty (Lili Reinhart) is ready to tell Archie how she feels about him but then, a beautiful new student named Veronica (Camila Mendes) comes to town. Archie could use a best bud right now but his friendship with Jughead (Cole Sprouse) has hit the rocks. Others in The CW cast are Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Casey Cott, and Madelaine Petsch.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
