Morris Chestnut is moving on. Deadline reports the Rosewood star has joined season two of the Amazon TV show Goliath.
The drama stars Billy Bob Thornton as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer who takes on the major corporate firm he helped create. The show’s cast also includes Maria Bello, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Sarah Wynter, and Molly Parker.
On Goliath, Chestnut will play “Chief Deputy District Attorney Hakeem Rashad, who was on the losing side of Billy’s (Thornton) last criminal case and has a bitter, old grudge against him.” Prime Video has not yet announced a premiere date for season two of the series.

Yes. I love Morris Chestnut and I would love to see a Season 3 of Rosewood. I will watch him on Goliath.
I still want season three of Rosewood tho…sigh
So instead of playing the just-about-always-hopeful Dr. Rosewood, he’ll be an unhappy lawyer. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad he’s working (the man does need to work like everyone else)..but wait…let’s cancel a show where people perservered through some pretty crappy things with family, friends and smarts…and keep on TV shows with people fighting, unhappy..doing things that make other people miserable too. I don’t get TV. And the Billy Bob Thornton show might be great and I respect other people’s taste in what relaxes them to watch…but although I love the actor I won’t be watching another “everything’s dysfunctional” show.… Read more »
I very ever watch Netflix on a regular basis. I Will now since morris chestnut will be starring on it.
So glad that Morris Chestnut will be right back on TV in another series. He has always been one of my favorite actors with a lot of charisma. But, I still wish that Rosewood had not been cancelled!
