TV show description:
This action comedy series is based on the Rush Hour feature film franchise. It follows a maverick LAPD detective and a by-the-book detective from Hong Kong who knock heads when they are forced to partner together.
Detective Lee (Jon Foo) is a reserved and honorable master martial artist with lightning-fast moves. He comes to Los Angeles to avenge his sister’s alleged death and learn more about her connection to a Chinese organized crime ring.
Meanwhile, Detective Carter (Justin Hires) is a wisecracking cop who plays by his own rules. Carter’s boss, Captain Lindsay Cole (Wendie Malick), often gets frustrated with him she knows he’s a brilliant detective who gets results.
Attempting to help the two partnered detectives get along is Sergeant “Didi” Diaz (Aimee Garcia), Carter’s friend and former partner who doesn’t hesitate to call him out on his antics.
Secretly aiding them as an informant is Carter’s cousin, Gerald (Page Kennedy). He’s a low-level offender who runs with a tough crowd.
Even as their cultures clash and tempers flare, Carter and Lee can’t deny they make a formidable team. They’ll also grudgingly admit that sometimes an unlikely pairing can make for a great partnership.
Episode #13 — Familee Ties
When a meeting of rival Los Angeles gang lords is orchestrated by the Quantou gang, Carter and Lee must infiltrate it to find Lee’s sister Kim and save her from going further with the Quantou.
First aired: August 20, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Rush Hour TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
You need to give it a chance. It’s a Great show. Please Renew
Jon Foo and Justin Hires are developing their relationship. The worst thing a viewer can do is to compare them with Jackie Chan and Christopher Tucker. Just give the show a chance. Enjoy the show for its action and comedy and it deserves a season renewal.
I love the show. Its very refreshing because I do not watch a lot of reality TV. Please don’t cancel this show!
This is a funny show how can you not like it it has action and comedy please bring it back for a second season.
I am really enjoying Rush Hour & the actors are really getting into their characters. I hope they get a second season to prove themselves! Especially since I need my weekly Jon Foo fix!
This is a great show. Hope it’s renewed for another season.
its actually very good and has big potential it felt a bit rocky at the start but you can see jon foo and justin hires are warming up to each other now the problem is too many are like oh it’s not jackie chan and chris tucker it sucks which is destroying the show if given the chance i think this show can go really well i hope it does get more seasons it’s much better than half the cop shows on at the moment
I think it’s really good. Its funny and fast paced. The actors are brilliant. Really hoping for more seasons!
I love this show but wish there was a way to cross The Enos Show over to Rush Hour. After all both shows are owned by CBS plus Warner Brothers and they both are based in LA. I believe Rush Hour has quality and it should keep on going.
CBS’ Rush Hour is a terrible show. The leads have no chemistry and Jon Foo is a dreadful actor. There is absolutely nothing about this show to distinguish it from the thousand other cardboard cookie-cutter buddy cop procedurals on TV already except for slapping a well-known name on it and pretending it’s a successor to the popular Jackie Chan/Chris Tucker vehicles.
It’s not. It’s an insult to what made those movies fun. This horrible show needs to go away before it makes the baby cry.
I watched on demand earlier today. Super good! CBS should renew it for more seasons!
Watching the show now on demand. Really good show. I hope to see more of it.
I loved it. Can’t wait for next week.
I loved the show. Can’t wait for next week!
If you saw the original movie you’d have seen most of the stuff they did on the first show…. and to be honest, I thought it was awful… The Asian guy was ok, but the other guy was sooooo miss cast. Can’t believe this will last.
Yes. We plan to watch this series.
