The second season of the Salem TV show on WGN America saw a big drop in the ratings but it still came back for a third season. Will the numbers continue to fall or, will they rise? Will Salem be renewed for a fourth season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Set in the 17th century, Salem revolves around the Salem witch trials in colonial Massachusetts. A powerful witch named Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) controls the trials by fueling Puritan hysteria as she works to begin the Grand Rite. Her plans are complicated when her long lost love — John Alden (Shane West) — returns to Salem. The cast also includes Seth Gabel, Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, Joe Doyle, Oliver Bell, and Samuel Roukin.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Great series. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. The problem is no one heard of wgn and couldn’t find the channel to watch. If salem was being broadcast on better known network, we would have more viewers.
From my personal experience, I have to to Google to see exactly what channel it was showing which took me quite some time.
We really need a 4th season of Salem. Please. I don’t see how you can cancel this…

I really liked this series and the ending to season 3 was amazing please do not leave us hanging. Salem has a lot of fans its a great show.
I saw the last episode. They killed a lot of characters off. So I don’t know how they will make another season.
I Love this show. Nothing has ever been on TV like this series.

Thus show desperately needs to keep going! One of my favorite shows ever. They can’t just end it on a cliff hanger like that. Don’t do this to us fans please. We want to. No we need to know what happens next! 🙁
Salem is a great show with great, very talented actors. It should come back with a Season 4.
Salem cannot halt in midst of an excellent story line. Whoever ranks this can go try to up with the flop that is named game of thrones. Salem is excellent and Tamzin Merchant just spreaded her wings of wickedness. Why would the show end now? Don’t do that to the true fans of show.

This show was simply a brilliant idea. Though technically ficticious, let us not forget there is still factual history in the underlines. Whether major religions want to accept that the burning ages happened or not it does not change the fact the Salem Witch Trials did in fact occur, and are a huge part in our American history and is taught in middle schools and high schools everywhere.
