What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance, Shazi Raja, and Ian Anthony Dale. This suspense thriller follows MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera). Because they don’t want to cause public panic, the two present Pentagon Press Secretary, Grace Barrows (Finnigan), with evidence that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards (Dale) is running the D.O.D.’s top-secret operation to deflect the asteroid. At the same time, Darius is working with Jillian (Byers), a rookie science fiction writer, on a different approach to save humanity.

Salvation premiered with low ratings and they’ve gotten even worse. Unless CBS has made enough deals to cover a good amount of the costs for this series, I would be shocked if this series came back for a second season.Subscribe for free updates on any cancellation and renewal news.

I love this show. It seems all the good shows end and they add too many dumb comedies and reality.
If any CBS Execs are reading this please, Please, PLEASE DO NOT cancel Salvation! Y’all can’t leave us hanging like this! I’m not even in your 18-49 demographic and I love the show! I’m 61 this Friday the 13thso please don’t make it an unlucky day for me.

PLEASE renew Salvation!!! One of the best programs available to audiences. Though not in your 18-49 age demographic I thoroughly look forward to this every week.
Good story line, great characters, good plot twists. Very entertaining, would like to see renewed for another season. Kind of wish, though, they would PLAN for a season ending like the single season “Containment” on CW. Was well done, had a specific direction to the end.
Best TV show in a long while. CBS would be out a great chance. The original Star Trek was more or less in the same boat, but look at how much profit it generated–and it’s still popular. Salvation is a gem like that.
Both my husband and I watched every episode (some twice), because this show had everything, suspense, thrills, high-tech, and much more important compelling characters and relationships (carried off by great actors). What we liked most about the show was how classy the main characters were. They didn’t just sleep with everyone they could at a moment’s notice and without a backward glance or pang of guilt (as on so many crude and monotonous shows). They had character. Please please please renew! Salvation has great characters and an intelligent, believable storyline. The plot and character development was very well done. It was also great to see the US government as the bad guys for a change. A refreshing change from reality tv.
