CBS had been filling the Mondays at 9pm timeslot with sitcoms for years and years. Now, they’re trying a new drama — Scorpion. Will this change be a ratings success? Will the show be renewed for a second season? Will it be cancelled? Stay tuned.
Based on real-life events, Scorpion revolves around computer expert Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. They’re this country’s last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats. The series also stars Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong, and Ari Stidham.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/12 update: Scorpion and two other shows have been renewed for a second season by CBS.
Final season averages: 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.96 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Scorpion TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Yes, please keep the show, it resonates with kids who are a little bit different to what society considers normal. It is the one show on tv that I always make a point of watching.
This is an amazing show that need `that ti be kept on. It is based on real life facts and the actions of the characters of are truly real life. a genius already knows everything without having to study it . Unlike the average person where we would need to study the to become a PHD in that field. The actors and actress are excellent . Instead of find trying to find fault why don’t you watch the show you just might learn something
I love this show and would be extremely disappointed if it was canceled.
I love this show. Please keep it on.
This show means a lot to me. And anyone with a child that has a child with special needs to me gave me insight on what could be what my child be thinking. Thank you so much for this show love it. Keep up the good work and dont cancel
Love this show please keep
I love Scorpion. Each character is unique and definitely adds to the show. TV is for entertainment and this is great entertainmnet. There are so many “reality” shows and all you have to do is watch the new for “Real Reality”, UG!
Keep the episodes comings.
I don’t understand how this show is being labeled a hit.
What exactly is the purpose of McPhee’s character? She’s supposed to teach O’Brien how to interact with people? – Wouldn’t that best be left to the character of Toby? (An expert psychologist?)
A mother of a genius child decides it’s okay to go into a military battle with no training of her own and no experience of her own?
Jadyn Wong couldn’t be more wooden.
Ari Stidham’s character couldn’t be more stereotypical.
I’m confused how this show hasn’t drawn more critical fire.
Please keep it. Love it!
Don’ t stop the show I love it and I think a lot of people With special needs I think this is fantastic and will help them to understand what then children go through.
Keep this show on…it is just starting to get really good and the characters are all rounding out nicely. Please keep it!
Love the show!
Best new show of the year. Really enjoy watching this and I never watch TV. Don’t disappoint me and cancel.
Awesome show! I don’t care what some people say. Walter O’brian is a true character so yes the show is base on some true fact, but of course it romance and adapted for the viewers. Love all of the characters <3
Horrible, horrible, horrible show. “Real life events”? Hardly.
Geniuses don’t generally have an us vs them mentality. And I don’t care how smart you are, you don’t instantly understand in depth every subject without years of study in that field. It’s your genius that allows you to understand it at all, but you still need years of study in the field. Especially, to be able to implement a practical application of that study.
you realize this is a tv show right? and not real life. the tag line is just that, a tv tag line. geniuses can’t be an expert in everything exactly and cops don’t solve every murder like on tv.
you have to suspend belief. yes a lot with show , but that is every show, you have the same problem, as so may others, you think this is “REAL LIFE” when the only thing real is that there is a guy actually named walter o’brien, everything else is made for tv drama
Awful show please cancel, rather watch water drip.
I agree. And the script and acting are so freaking bad.
