Hallmark Channel has announced that their new Martha Williamson TV show called Signed, Sealed, Delivered will premiere on Sunday, April 20th, at 8pm — the same timeslot that Williamson’s Touched By an Angel series once occupied.
The series is a follow-up to the Signed, Sealed, Delivered pilot movie that aired last October. Hallmark has ordered 11 episodes. The show stars Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson and the first season will feature appearances by television legends Valerie Harper and Dick Van Dyke.
Here are the details:
HALLMARK CHANNEL’S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ORIGINAL SERIES FROM THE CREATIVE FORCE BEHIND “TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL” MARTHA WILLIAMSON, “SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED,” WILL HAVE ITS WORLD PREMIERE SUNDAY, APRIL 20TH
Series Stars Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson; Special Guest-Stars Include Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper and five-time Emmy(R) winner and two-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Dick Van Dyke
Hallmark Channel announces the World Premiere of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” the network’s highly anticipated new Original Series, debuting Sunday, April 20 (8pm ET/PT, 7C), created and Executive Produced by Martha Williamson, best known as the creative force behind the mega-hit “Touched By An Angel.” The time slot represents Hallmark Channel’s expansion into Sunday evenings and a coming home for Williamson to the same time period once held by “Touched by an Angel.” The series stars Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty”), Kristin Booth (“The Kennedys”), Crystal Lowe (“Smallville”) and Geoff Gustafson (“Primeval: New World”). Special guest-stars announced to-date include Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper (“Mary Tyler Moore,” “Rhoda”) and five-time Emmy(R) winner and two-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Dick Van Dyke (“The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Diagnosis Murder”). Both stars will portray Supervisors in a revolving role that will feature television icons through the run of season one.
Hallmark Channel’s new original series is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office and into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time. The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Mabius), a genius postal detective and the group’s leader; new team member, Shane McInerney (Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”), Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”) and Scott Smith (“Call Me Fitz”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer. Muse Distribution International holds the worldwide distribution rights.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching this series?
I didn’t realize ” sign Sealed and Delivered” was cancelled. I just thought it would not return until 2015. I’m disappointed. I loved watching it and feel that it is another unfinished series. It seems to me that the ratings are inaccurate. My friends and I watch similar shows and this was one of them. Please, bring it back, at least as a movie and give it an ending.too many good family shows are left just hanging. Hallmark gave up too soon!

Andrea,
Hallmark didn’t cancel SS&D but they moved it to a 2 hr movie slot on their pay channel, the Hallmark Movie Channel. This causes an extra expense to those who really want to see the series. I really enjoyed the series but our budget will not allow us to add yet another expensive channel to cable. I think this was really unfair to the viewers to draw them into this series and then move it to a channel most of us do not have. Shame on Hallmark! We are done with Hallmark and SS&D.
For those of you who think Signed Sealed and Delivered was cancelled is was not. It was turned into a 2hr movie specials once in great awhile on the Hallmark Paid Channel. So if you do not have this pay channel then you cannot watch the show. I refuse to pay anymore money for cable TV than what I already pay. I think it was a bad move on Hallmark. Shame on them because it shouldn’t always be about the dollar.
I want to know if you can purchase the series. we only have hallmarm channel and not movies and mysteries where I live in Arkansas. I just watched the Christmas signed sealed delivered for Christmas and loved it. would love to see more but our cable provider does not offer it. I was hoping those episodes would come out on dvd since they were out in 2013
Pls bring back Signed, Sealed, Deliver… We need a christian based series to bring hope.. Missed series of Touched by an Angel and Promised Land. This series is great. Pls reconsider,,
I loved Signed, Sealed and Deliverd. I can’t imagine why you cancelled it. PLEASE reconsider.
Please bring back Signed Sealed Delivered, it is my favorite of all the Hallmark Series, please bring it back!
I am choosing NOT to believe rumors that Hallmark is cancelling Signed, Sealed and Delivered. I am a HUGE fan of the Hallmark Channel in general and have watched Cedar Cove and When Calls the Heart but Signed, Sealed and Delivered is my favorite and the BEST of the bunch for so many reasons. I concur with all the other comments in that it is SO HARD to find good, Christian programming, and it is FUN to have a series to follow and look forward to each week. I know a Signed, Sealed and Delivered Christmas movie is upcoming in… Read more »
I kept waiting for signed sealed delivered to come back and now i see it’s been cancelled! No, please bring it back!!!
How many comments and requests does it take for you all to see how much this show meant to SO MANY??? Anytime something decent comes along, that can be watched as a family event, then for some reason it gets cancelled. No there is no cursing, killings, sex or any other crazy nonsense. That’s what makes it a GREAT show. It’s not one of those we have to turn off if the grandchildren walk in the room, or if my father is visiting. So please rethink this!
PLEASE being back “Signed, Sealed and Delivered”. It is a GREAT family show with wonderful stories and the actors are absolutely outstanding.
Please bring back the series!!! We loved the shows each week and have told others about this wonderful series. It is rare in this day and age to find a show that multiple generations can watch together and enjoy, but this is one!!
