Hallmark Channel is making an unusual move. They’ve decided to change their Signed, Sealed, Delivered series from a regular weekly series to a series of two-hour movies on sister channel Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
The first new movie — Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas — will air on November 23rd. Three more films are expected for 2015.

CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
I would prefer to see ssd as an episodes show on Hall mark channel I can’t afford to get hmm . Why not show the ssd movies on Hallmark channel after it airs on hmm It would work for me.
I believe the actors are involved in new assignments and are doing the movies when they can get the time.
Many of us prefer the weekly series. I don’t know why Hallmark cancelled the weekly series. Debbie Andrews (also a fan) has kindly prepared an online petition to ask Hallmark to please bring back the weekly series. Please consider signing the petition which will be presented to Hallmark after we get more signatures.

I love the show I love the weekly show but I can handle the 2 hour movie also.
I also prefer the weekly series. Nice family gathering time. Pleas don’t make other series into movies.
Many of us prefer that. I don’t believe anyone from Hallmark reads our comments here, but Debbie Andrews put together a petition which will be presented to Hallmark where you can voice your opinion. Please consider signing it and getting as many of your family/friends to sign as possible.
Thanks.

Hi Robin,
I’ve prepared a petition that I’m hoping to get at least a thousand signatures on to send over to the good people at the Hallmark Channel. I’m including a link to thy petition and I’d love for you to sign and, hopefully, share with others who enjoy this show.

Thanks so much,
Debbie Andrews
PLEASE reinstate the weekly series!!!! I speak for my family and my 93 year old mother. And, PLEASE put it back on the regular Hallmark channel. We don’t get the Hallmark Movie Channel.
We’d all love for the weekly series to be reinstated. That’s why Debbie Andrews, also a fan, started a petition that will be presented to Hallmark to let them know we want the series back. I hope you will sign it and pass it on to as many of your family/friends as possible. Thanks!

PREFER WEEKLY SERIES…I SPEAK FOR A FAMILY OF 6
There are many people who would prefer Hallmark retain the program as a weekly series. However, it is my understanding that the executives at Hallmark do not read these comments. Debbie Andrews, another fan, kindly created a petition that allows us to voice our opinions and ask Hallmark to re-instate the weekly series. I hope you will sign the petition and pass it on to your friends and family.
Here is the link for it. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/reinstatement-of-signed-sealed-delivered
I wish it would remain as a series. I have spent all winter anticipating the start of the new series, only to have to do a lot of research online to find out it has been cancelled. I have my DVR set to record all new episodes, but that won’t work with the movies because each one has a unique title. I will watch the movies if I can, but that again requires me to do research to find out when a new movie is coming up, remember to find it on the TV schedule when it’s within a week… Read more »
I was anticipating the return of the series as well, and it was even advertised prior to Christmas on the Hallmark channel as a returning series starting in January. Then they pulled the plug. I have no idea why, but another person who posted on this blog was kind enough to start a petition that we can all sign and add our comments to, which will be presented to the people at Hallmark. We hope if there are enough people to sign the petition that perhaps they will reinstate the weekly series. Please sign it and pass it on to… Read more »
I signed your petition but how do you know that Hallmark will look at it or care? Btw, I have seen that the networks do visit this web site sometimes because the admin adds updates or more information from them. For what it’s worth.
I’m okay with movies but would like more of them if possible. Cheers!
As I understand it, Debbie set it up so after the petition closes, it will go to Hallmark. I don’t believe anyone from Hallmark reads these comments. At least not that I’ve seen or am aware. But the petition will be presented to them. I just hope it helps change their minds.
I am disappointed that this will not continue on a weekly basis. I’d rather deal with hiatus than a few movies a year. I liked the weekly connection to the characters and would have looked forward to a 13 week return. I will watch the movies maybe, if there is enough publicity to remind me a new one is coming up.
We all are disappointed about Hallmark canceling the weekly series. Unfortunately no one from Hallmark will read our comments on this forum. So another fan, Debbie Andrews, created a petition that we can sign which will be presented to the people at Hallmark. Maybe if enough of us sign and voice our opinions, they will reinstate the series.
Please sign the petition and pass it on to as many of your family and friends as possible.

I really enjoyed the series. Great cast and good story lines. I am okay with the movies but would like one a month rather than 4 a year. You made us get involved with these characters now you take them away. Don’t make us wait!!
Hi Linda. I agree…the weekly series was wonderful. Great story line and there were always uplifting thoughts and great moral values included which was refreshing. Since no one from Hallmark reads these comments, Debbie Andrews kindly put together a petition that you can sign which will eventually be presented to the people at Hallmark. If we get enough people to sign and comment on how much we enjoy the weekly series, perhaps they will reconsider and bring it back. I hope you will sign the petition and pass it on to as many of your friends and family members as… Read more »
My husband and I loved this series and wish it was still available as a weekly series. We couldn’t wait each week for the next episode. So sad we won’t be able to watch the upcoming movies, as we don’t have the Hallmark Mystery channel.
Hi Brenda. I loved the series too and wish they would reinstate it. Debbie Andrews, also a fan, kindly set up an online petition that will be presented to Hallmark at some point with signatures and comments on how much we like the show and want it back as a weekly series. This was necessary because no one from Hallmark reads these comments on this venue. I hope you will sign it and get as many of your friends and family to sign as possible. Maybe if we all stick together and show Hallmark how much we enjoyed the weekly… Read more »
WE also wish it remained a weekly series!!! If not, then please email us when they will be shown in 2015 so we can watch them!!!
Unfortunately no one from Hallmark reads this blog. Please consider signing Debbie Andrews’ petition regarding getting Hallmark to reinstate the weekly series.

Thanks for considering and please pass on the link to as many people as possible.
My family and love this show. I wish it would remain a weekly series. We need good quality, family oriented shows on TV. Every time I watched this show I felt so happy, it reminded me of watching Touched by an Angel with my Mom when I was a little girl. Please bring the series back.
I love the show too, and we are trying to petition Hallmark to get it reinstated. Please consider joining us in this effort. No one from Hallmark reads these posts on this blog. BUT Debbie Andrews started a petition that will eventually be presented to Hallmark along with our comments and signatures. I hope you will sign it.

We love this family friendly series and were sad and disappointed to learn that it is not continuing as a weekly series. We hope that Hallmark will reconsider this move as there is so little gold standard entertainment such as this to watch! Do the movies but please bring back the weekly series..we can’t get enough!!
Hi Kevin and Trisha. I agree with you…I want the weekly series back as well. However, no one from Hallmark will see our comments on this site. Debbie Andrews has kindly created a petition that will eventually be presented to Hallmark with our comments and wishes for the reinstatement of the program. I hope you both will consider signing it and getting as many of your friends and family to sign as possible. Maybe if Hallmark realizes how many of us enjoy the weekly series, they will bring it back.

Hello everyone,
Please consider signing my petition that I hope will cause the folks at Hallmark to change their minds about this wonderful show. Also, if you could share this with family and friends, I would truly appreciate it.

I am greedy. I would love to see the Signed, Sealed, Delivered show as a weekly series and special movie presentations. I thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas movie. If I had to choose, though, I would prefer the show to remain as a series. I looked forward to watching it every week. I am also anxiously awaiting the new season of When Calls the Heart. Hallmark has been offering a variety of new series that have integrity and family appeal. They should continue to follow this successful model.
Hi Teresa. Since the people at Hallmark won’t ever see your comments on this forum, another Signed Sealed and Delivered fan, Debbie Andrews, kindly created a petition that will be presented to Hallmark with our comments and wishes for the reinstatement of the weekly series. Please consider signing it and getting as many of your friends and family members to sign as well. Hopefully with enough signatures, Hallmark will consider reinstating the program.

Want to see series back and love the movies too. So wonderful to see something on tv that is about God. Come on Hallmark Channel you had a good thing keep it and so the movies too. I have nextflix, feeln, and Amazon prime. I have purchased the series and I bought the Christmas movie online. I was anxiously waiting for season 2. I am very disappointed to learn that I won’t be able to see anything else. Please bring them back. You made us fall in love with these characters. Don’t take them away.

A devoted fan
Dear Kathy,
We all feel exactly as you do, but the people at Hallmark won’t ever see your comments or wishes for the reinstatement of this wonderful show on this venue. Debbie Andrews has kindly created a petition where you can post comments asking Hallmark to reinstate the weekly series. I encourage you to sign the petition and get as many people as possible to sign as well. Hopefully the people at Hallmark will realize that there are many of us out there who appreciate good family entertainment.

The weekly series has got our vote. My wife and I both love it and never missed any of season one. Please bring back the series.
Hello Mr. Miller,
Would you and your wife consider signing a petition I’ve prepared for the executives at Hallmark?
