CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
I am disappointed that it is not continuing as a series, but glad that it is not gone entirely. It is an uplifting program with great acting.
I am disappointed that it will not continue as a weekly series, but I am glad that it is not gone entirely. It is an uplifting program.
I really looked forward to watching Signed Sealed and Delivered every Saturday. But if they decided to do movies instead – that is OK to. At least I still get to watch the show. I just love it? Can it buy the series?
I bought the entire series just a little while ago. I ordered it on Amazon. So glad they have it now. I had to wait about a month till they got it. I also ordered the Christmas program before the series one became available.
I recently bought the whole series from Amazon.com. I had to wait for about a month or so till they got them in, but I’m delighted to have the series. I also had ordered the Christmas Show when the other was not available yet.
This really is a shame. Finally an enjoyable show to watch, with happy endings, and I loved the characters. Nothing else like it at this time. I won’t see it again because I don’t have Hallmark movie channel through my cable company. I am really missing it and was trying to get my sister hooked on it too. It’s too late. Please reconsider.
You can buy the series on Amazon.com. First I bought the Christmas series and finally could order the entire series. It took a while until they had it in stock, but i received mine about two weeks ago. You’ll love it!
why isn’t Signed Sealed Delivered a series any more. Absolutely loved this program
There are a number of people who feel the same way you do. That is why Debbie Andrews (also a fan) created a petition which will be presented to Hallmark asking them to reconsider and restrore the weekly series. I hope you will consider signing this petition.
Thanks!

Yes I agree with the movie decision. Two hour movies are more convenient than an hour every week. There have been shows that were canceled that I wished would come back as a new movie even once a year.
I too would love if Signed, Sealed, Delivered were once again a series but all the actors are involved with other projects which makes a weekly commitment almost impossible.
I am so terrible disappointed that this show was cancelled as a series. It was my favorite show. I looked forward every week to see this uplifting, hopeful, and inspiring TV show. With so much worthless stuff on TV, I was down to about 3 TV shows per week. Signed, Sealed and Delivered was a show truly set apart from all others.
Hi Marcela. I too am disappointed that Hallmark canceled the series. Debbie Andrews, another fan, has kindly created a petition which we can all sign and which, at some point, will be presented to Hallmark respectfully asking them to re-instate the series.
I hope you will consider signing it and getting as many of your friends and family to sign as possible.
Thanks!

My wife and I are truly disappointed in seeing that this show was cancelled for a week-to-week series as it was our favorite Hallmark series. We love your Cedar Cove and When Calls The Heart tv series, but Signed, Sealed, Delivered has been our favorite by far. We so enjoy the weekly mystery of how they find the person for who the letter was intended for, but what is so much more interesting and fascinating is the story behind the letter. Please look at putting this back on a regular basis. I just wish it would have been longer than… Read more »
Hi Dale. It was my favorite series as well. I always looked forward to it. Debbie Andrews, another fan, has created a petition which will eventually be presented to Hallmark to ask them to reinstate the weekly series. I hope you will consider signing it and getting as many of your family/friends to sign as possible.
Thanks!

I am also disappointed about Signed, Sealed and Delivered not being a weekly series. I have been watching for when it would come back on and now, regrettably, it isn’t. I loved that show. I can’t put my finger on one thing that made it so great but it was. I loved the people, their interaction with one another; it just made me smile and feel happy. I will be signing the petition in hopes that it will be reinstated. Signed, Sealed and Delivered is one of those shows that you just want to keep going. Thank you for the… Read more »
There is also a Facebook paige for fans of Signed Sealed and Delivered. You might want to join that and express your thoughts there as well. Thanks for signing the petition.
I WAS DISSAPOINTED TO HEAR THE SIGNED SEALED DELIVERED WAS NOT COMING BACK AS A WEEKLY SHOW. I LIKED THE SHOW PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV ASIDE FROM CEDAR COVE. CEDAR COVE IS OK BUT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE BOOKS VERY CLOSELY? NOT SURE WHY, I THINK THAT ANOTHER GOOD TV SERIES WOULD BE MY GAL SUNDAY??.. PLUS I NOW STOPPED WATCHING HALLMARK CHANNEL ALL TOGETHER BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ON TO WATCH I GET HOME AT NIGHT IT’S GOLDEN GIRLS FROM ALMOST 25 YEARS AGO, AND IN THE MORNING IT’S GOLDEN GIRLS AGAIN. ALL THAT IS… Read more »
I’m not from Hallmark, but I have to agree…Signed, Sealed and Delivered was one of the BEST shows on TV. There are many of us who would love to see the weekly series brought back. Another fan, Debbie Andrews, has put together an online petition which will be presented to Hallmark when we have enough signatures. In the petition we ask Hallmark to reinstate the weekly series. Please consider signing it and have as many of your friends and family sign it as well. Maybe Hallmark will listen.

I ordered, and just received, the entire DVD collection of the series! You might want to try it………….I can hardly wait to see it.
I love the weekly and I would love the movies. Martha Williamson is a great writer. It is hard to find good shows to watch that make you smile or feel good and the family can watch. Thank you Martha Williamson this one and all you have written.
