The Siren TV series has been sunk by Freeform. The cable channel has cancelled the mermaid drama series so, there won’t be a fourth season.
Siren stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen. The TV show is set in the small fishing village of Bristol Cove which is known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the legend proves to be true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. In season three, Ben’s shocking decision to let the reporter die has ripple effects in his relationship with Maddie and Ryn. Meanwhile, a dangerous, sophisticated new mermaid arrives in Bristol Cove, challenging Ryn’s leadership and igniting an epic undersea battle between rival tribes. All of this is complicated by the fact that Ryn’s baby, now being carried by a surrogate, must be protected at all costs.
The third season of Siren averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 408,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 26% in the demo and down by 14% in viewership.
While the show’s ratings have dropped quite a bit since the first season, Siren has remained one of Freeform’s highest-rated series. The de facto series finale, titled “The Toll of the Sea”, aired May 28th.

How could you cancel Siren??? I loved it so much that I taped every episode so I could watch it again. Of all the garbage on TV today, Siren was the only tv show that gave me any joy and a reason to watchTV. You stupid people always ruin things for us..
You can’t take Siren off! I’ve watched it from day 1!!! I love all the characters Especially Ben and Wren!!! Please don’t Cancel that series!!!!
Honestly I am a bit shocked. Siren was one of their top-rated series as is told above and they just caneled it. I am verry dissapointed. There is still small chance that Siren could find home somewhere else but also actors and other personal is immportant and if they won’t agree So it’s better to cancel this series, but I believe they could agree with next season. #savesiren

Every time I LOVE a show they cancel it! If it doesn’t have a ton of “F” words it’s not pop with the young crowd. I just got everyone I know watching it on Hulu and now it’s gone.
So bummed that there will not be a season 4. How is it possible that you leave a cliff hanger and then cancel the series??

I really liked the show. I don’t know how they do their ratings but it is obviously flawed. I’m not a fan of their other shows and it was Siren that drew me to Freeform in the first place. Guess I won’t be watching Freeform anymore.
Super bummed !!! We were so looking forward to season 4. Hoping Ben would come back as a mermaid. Soooo disappointing that it was canceled.. Dont leave us hanging.

This was a great show! One of my favorites, there are not many mermaid shoes out there especially one as in-depth as this. I really hope Netflix or something picks it up if nothing else just to give us a closing season that doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. Also really hoping Ben is alive!

I’m not one who usually gets to attached to TV shows ,, but I watched this and was immediately hooked from the very beginning …. I thought it was artistically produced and brilliantly performed… To be honest why would you not finish the story? Freeform you might want to reconsider your decision or loose multiple viewers…it was the best show I’ve seen in a long time…SMH!!!
