Dan Hildebrand is set to play Friar Lawrence in ABC‘s Still Star-Crossed TV series pilot. This Shondaland project is based on Melinda Taub’s 2013 novel, pictured above.
The story features the surviving characters of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet after the lovers’ deaths. Heather Mitchell will write. She is executive producing with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, and Michael R. Goldstein. Michael Offer has been tapped to direct.
Deadline says:
[Still Star-Crossed] charts the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. Hildebrand will play Friar Lawrence, who uses the church to climb the social ladder. Hildebrand recently appeared on Scream Queens and is currently shooting NCIS: Los Angeles. He previously recurred on Game of Thrones, Rectify, Sons of Anarchy and Deadwood. He’s repped by TCA/Jed Root and Affirmative Entertainment.

I loved the show although I only saw a limited about of episodes. It was diverse. I never new it existed until this past summer of 2017. Switching channels trying to find a good show. Please come back I’m a new fan. It wasn’t on long enough to get a strong fan base, no one new about it really
