TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a young woman who’s been recruited to take part in a special project from a secret government agency.
Kirsten Clark (Emma Ishta) is a highly intelligent and emotionally distant computer science grad student. She’s recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased. Using their memories, she’s able to help investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave.
The secret program is headed by Maggie Baptiste (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), a skilled veteran of covert operations. Cameron Goodkin (Kyle Harris), a brilliant neuroscientist who’s passionate about the program, is part of the Stitchers team — as is Linus Ahluwalia (Ritesh Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician.
Kirsten’s roommate is Camille Engelson (Allison Scagliotti). She’s a gifted computer science grad student who’s also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten.
Episode #31 — “Maternis”
Kirsten’s father Daniel Stinger (guest star C. Thomas Howell) shows up and Kirsten must perform the most important stitch of her life. From Freeform:
1. Camsten finally got to release all of that sexual tension.
2. And Camanda decided to move in together. All our ships are back on course.
3. Commander Denise Nichols turned up dead and the NSA needed access to her secret work room.It turns out that Commander Nichols was the person who picked the stitch cases and that the truth behind everything is locked inside a voice-activated vault in her home.
4. But Cameron is worried that Kirsten’s brain, and the oxytocin filter, might not be ready for such a big stitch.
5. Kirsten struggles in the stitch because Linus didn’t anticipate what would happen if you used the oxytocin filter on someone of Nichol’s age. While many of the scenes are blurry, Kirsten is able to make out a few details, including an email to terminate her mother. Kirsten bounces from the stitch.
6. Fisher and Kirsten investigate Denise’s house and discover that her vault was programmed to accept Kirsten’s voiceprint. But why?
7. The stitch team finds a mysterious and complex code that Denise left for Kirsten to find. It details a series of exchanges between the quantum computer and Kirsten’s brain during stitches, but what does it mean?
8. Ivy tries to reach out to Linus one last time. But he just can’t forgive her.
9. Kirsten has another swing at Denise’s code, which is revealed to contain detailed tracking info on her mom’s location.
10. After tracking down the secret NSA facility, Kirsten finally reunites with her mom…and Ivy and Stinger. Worst reunion ever.
11. Ivy reveals that she double-crossed Stinger just as Maggie and Fisher arrive to ambush him. A gun fight breaks out.Turns out Ivy had been working with Maggie the whole time, and the ‘termination’ of Jacqueline was all a plant to capture Stinger.
12. Kirsten risks her life to stop the gunfight when a stray bullet punctures Jacqueline’s pod, threatening to kill her.
13. With no time to lose, Kirsten insists that the lab let her stitch into her mom in order to save her life. It’s a risky move, but it’s the only one they’ve got.
14. Kirsten talks to a captured Stinger, who insists that they’ll fail to stitch into Jacqueline without his help. The worst thing is that he’s right. Without him they won’t be able to properly stitch into a living sample — it’s never been done before by anybody but him.
15. Cameron accepts Stinger’s help, but it’s clear he doesn’t trust him. Stinger might be brilliant, but he’s deadly too.
16. The first stitch into Jacqueline totally fails. The team attempted the stitch even after seeing a weird bio-mechanical structure in Jacqueline’s brain stem. For a second attempt, Stinger has an idea — a very dangerous idea.
17. After Cameron punches Stinger for suggesting that Jacqueline and Kirsten should trade places in the stitch, Cameron realizes that he’s right. Stinger’s theory is that if Kirsten can concentrate on her love for her mom then Jacqueline’s brain can get a burst of energy that will wake her up.
18. Before Kirsten attempts the seriously dangerous stitch, Camsten share a kiss. Placing a living subject in the corpse cassette has never really been attempted before, so the team have no idea what could happen.
19. Stinger reveals what the strange readings in Kirsten and Jacqueline’s brain scans are. They were nanobots that were used to enable the stitching technology when Stinger first invented it. The nanobots not only make it possible to revive Jacqueline, but turn out to be the secret to how the stitch cases are chosen. Kirsten’s brain was receiving information about potential stitch cases, and then ultimately deciding which cases to take. Turns out the true source of all the stitch cases has been Kirsten’s brain all along.
20. Though things get seriously dangerous in the stitch, they manage to get Jacqueline out. 21. But afterwards, Kirsten’s memories of everything about her time in the stitchers program are gone.
21. But afterwards, Kirsten’s memories of everything about her time in the stitchers program are gone. Including her memory of Cameron.
22. Then in an absolutely crazy cliffhanger, it turns out that Kirsten hasn’t lost her memory at all. We’ve got so many questions.
First aired: August 14, 2017
What do you think? Do you like the Stitchers TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season on Freeform?
Please keep Stitchers on for another season. My daughter and I LOVE the show. I think that it’s far better than Vampire Diaries or anything else on television these days.
One of the good ones on TV, please don;t cancel. I’m sick of Zombies.
I live this show and hope it would keep going for another season
PLEASE don’t cancel this show! Fascinating concept. Reminds me a bit of Warehouse 13, and not just because it has one of the same actors 😉 lol.
If you DO cancel it, at least please give us closure.
I love this show and it would be very disappointing if it is or was cancelled….it’s not fair to viewers to watch a show ,love it and get attached to it and then it being cancelled the leaves a very sour taste in our mouths. Please fix not cancel this show and if it was please i beg of you to bring it back..
I love this show. It’s young but there is enough to the plot to stimulate critical thinking skills and still appeal to teens. I’m getting tired of the re-boots, I was there the first time, I know how it ends. It’s time for more innovation like this, wake up and stretch those neurotransmitters. This is entertainment not some staged “reality” show.
Love the show. Hope it gets renewed!!!
Great show. Well written and acted. A fresh show. Thoughtful and fun. I really hope they continue this show. I like the twist and turns. Keep it on !!!!

Do you know how many people are watching abc family shows on On Demand DVR Netflixs Hulu
This is not the way to leave people hanging for a year! You only get 10 in the season-should be 22 to 24.Are we in England or what.
I love this show! I feel like it is something that has not really been done before. It would be a very sad day indeed if this show was not renewed for several more seasons.
Love the show please don’t cancel. Due to working nights I have to record but watch it the next day..
LOVE IT but wish it would reair so when I have to miss it I can still catch it another day or time..
My boyfriend & I really like this show! If you enjoy Grimm or Salem, shows like that where the premise is a little “out there” then you should like this one too! There’s even a sassy “best friend” which usually annoys me with the crass one liners- but this one is actually a little more believable, as not only the leads’ friend/roommate but also part of the secret science team. The team is lead by the attractive but emotionless blonde, who must undergo a process of “stitching” where she subconsciously enters the mind of someone so she can experience their… Read more »
I saw a preview of this last week and have been looking for when it would be on continuously. I love this show. Really technology as a plot and very interesting! I just hope the morons don’t cancel it!

I love this show even though I don’t have time to watch it on tv I have to watch it all over on demand
