TV show description:
In this reality competition show, cameras follow sixteen to twenty contestants that have been dropped off in a remote area of the world. Using their wits and available materials, each tries to survive the elements and each other’s strategies in order to win a check for $1 million dollars.
Hosted by Jeff Probst, participants are usually divided into two tribes. Tribes are then separated from one another as they work together to build a camp and gather food and water. Every third day, they are reunited to participate in either a luxury or immunity challenge. The luxury competition pits the tribes against one another in order to win such comforts as food treats, flint for making fire, matches, rain gear, blankets, or even trips away from the island. In the immunity challenges, teams compete for immunity from elimination. At the end of each episode, losing tribe members participate in the Tribal Council and vote out a fellow tribemate.
When there are eight to ten participants left in the game, the tribes merge and everyone plays as an individual. The final group of contestants who’ve been voted out of the game remain at an undisclosed location, form the final Tribal Council jury, and silently observe Tribal Council ceremonies.
In the end, the jury members vote individually on which of the final two or three surviving contestants should win the million dollar prize — the person who not only survived, but thrived in the process.

Surprised this show hasn’t been canceled. A show about putting a bunch of self absorbed Yuppies, on a island to pit them against each other. A lot of two- faced back stabbing and gossiping the other person’s back. voting to see who gets kicked off the island. Kind of stuff you see in the everyday work place.. TV is suppose to be where you go to escape such drama. cause you see it to much in the real world. Bring back the good shows like, “The Colony”, “Happy”, ” Brockmire”, “Walking Dead”, “Mr. Robot”. Cut the Reality shows and some… Read more »
Romper room for adults, Really!!! Can’t believe
Cannot believe these people know they are going to an Island In the South Pacific and no one Is able to make fire ?
How crazy Is that ! Is that part of the script ? Boston Rob rubbed 2 pieces of bamboo together and had a fire within minutes !
great show i have watched everyone of the shows…
Then there was Ghost Island…. worse ending of all time..
HOW do you allow the LOOSER to pick the winner ?????
ONE person picks the winner ?? and that person is the LOOSER……
What a bad idea…. The two winners that tied should have had to make fire,.. pick rocks… solve a puzzle…. throw something through a hoop….. anything at all…. BUT NOT allow the LOOSER to pick the winner…… That sucked…
I”m pretty sure the LOSERS (jury) have always picked the winner in the past. I see no problem with the way it ended.
You are correct and how do they survive in ghost island, no water given to them, or any type of food
My favorite show of all times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family and friends all watch Survivor. We cant wait till the next season. We love it and all the tactics the players use. We call each other after every episode and we have our favourites in the game. Please dont cancel it.
The people are getting worse After what seen this past Survivor. I am no longer to watch it It getting worse.
This is a ridiculous, stupid show. Cancel it. Who cares.
Enough – !! It’s like a soap opera. Fighting and bickering. I’ve watched every season of Survivor so far, but I’m really tired of them bringing on players that have already had a chance and players that already should be worth a million dollars or more but probably spent it all already. It was great when they had John Doe nobody on the program and gave him a chance to win a million dollars, but these guys have already had the chance. Bring back the show with green blood – people who NEED the money. So for me I’ve watched… Read more »
I think they should not bring players from previous shows even if they don’t win they have more experience and the new ones can be intimidated, but even is a good show they should tell the contestants to find use violence or bad language sometimes minors watch the program
I didn’t start watching this until my sister coerced me in 2006. I have since been appalled, discouraged, infuriated and at times frightened by my own desire to commit murder, which would mean I am dangerously close to joining the other side. But, I will admit that I am also addicted to the beautiful locations, the challenges that I am now too old to imagine playing and the silly hope that the good guy/lady will persevere to the end without compromising their integrity. I have been rewarded on a few occasions, but even Lisa from “The Facts of Life” failed… Read more »

I really dislike the whole concept of Survivor – it is everything bad about human beings shown as winning the game. Ugh!
I am old-fashioned – I like honesty, manners, generosity and other such relics of society. Silly me!
Even in an island people shower, their clothes are like rags, I am from an Island and hygiene is important don’t they brush their teeth and women on certain days of the month how do they keep themselves clean and odorless, are they allowed to have DEODORANT or they are dirty and smelly
I have loved Survivor from Season 1. However, even as the biggest fan, I have a complaint over the seasons. From Season 1 to Season 40, the show has progressed from surviving to physical fitness. And now I’m over watching it. The old schoolers just don’t have a chance Bc it’s a CrossFit challenge every challenge. It’s not about out outwitting or outplaying period. It has nothing to do with surviving any longer. Just join the gym and cry a lot about political statements! You’ll make it on the show!
