Jessica Camacho has joined the second season of NBC’s Taken TV show. TV Line reports she’ll play Santana — a series regular role. The report describes the character as, “…a scary-smart, rule-breaking former Army captain who possesses an acerbic wit and calculated bravado. Her forte is logistics.”
Despite lackluster season one ratings, NBC renewed Taken for a second installment, thanks in part to international sales. The 16-episode second installment will debut in the middle of the 2017-18 television season. Clive Standen and Jennifer Beals are the only members of the main cast who will return. Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela, Michael Irby, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and James Landry Hébert have been written out.
Fans of The Flash will remember Camacho, who recurred as Gypsy in the third season of The CW drama. She also played Sophie Foster in season three of Sleepy Hollow, on FOX.
What do you think? Did you watch the first season of the Taken TV series? Do you plan to tune in for season two, despite the cast changes?
Sorry to see so many cast members leave. Love the show!
Yes, I watched season one and look forward to seeing season two. Sorry to learn there are so many cast changes but willing to give it a try.
Yikes, that was a major cutback of the original cast. I did like most of those characters. We’ll see what Jessica Camacho brings to the series. I am so looking forward to the new season of TV shows.
