Debuting last fall, The Blacklist was the biggest new TV show of the season and even performed well in the ratings without The Voice as a lead-in. Can it survive a move to another night? Will the NBC execs regret giving it a full season renewal? Cancelled or renewed for season three? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Blacklist revolves around one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives (James Spader) who begins helping the authorities if a particular rookie agent (Megan Boone) is his partner. Now, the FBI works for him as he identifies a “blacklist” of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists. The other castmembers in this drama include Harry Lennix, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, and Amir Arison.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/5 update: NBC has renewed The Blacklist for a third season for 2015-16. Details here.
Final season averages: 2.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.51 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The first season of The Blacklist averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.79 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The Blacklist TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Best this decade has to offer on TV! I love the caracters & actors.. best show on TV
The Blacklist is one of the best shows on T.V. The cast is the greatest. I can’t believe it is cancelled !!! What the hell…..
I just discovered this series, when looking around after NCIS. I only watch Netflix or other movie channels . Dont watch regular tv. Blacklist is the cleverest series since Criminal minds and NCIS. Keep it going and come to Netflix. Prefer binging. James Spader is out of this world. No one else could play this part. I tried to get another series continued and it didn’t work. Wish someone would run with Warehouse 13, which died awhile back. How do I know where Season 2 is?
Please don’t cancel The Blacklist. It is one of the few decent shows on.
I love Blacklist it is by far the very best show on tv, please, please keep it on.
Please leave the Blacklist alone. Was lost without Life, then Mentalist came along. Need at least one great suspense series to watch. Note I do watch on netflix, itunes and catchup
Fantastic series! Excellent cast!
Do not cancel The Blacklist! Best show on TV.
They really screwed the pooch for me when they had this FBI agent running around with no bra.
Her costume always included a bra.
But after their post-Superbowl ratings verily TANKED,
I guess they decided to go to the old fall-back; “make her boobies jiggle!”
Sorry, Bokenkamp: That trick stopped working in the 90’s when the masses began to discover that women are not your personal playthings.
Talent=0
Seems it is getting more interesting. I hope it gets renewed.
Absolutely love The Blacklist, it just gets better & better. Please continue it into a 3rd season. My favourite show!
I loved that show. All the actors were great. It should continue!!
The original premise of The Blacklist was unique and compelling. The first episodes were excellent, even though Elizabeth Keen is played by an actress with zero talent. Unfortunately, even James Spader’s incredible talent could not quite compensate for the lousy writing in the most recent episodes. They should have stuck to the original formula – Reddington divulges the name of a heinous villain and the team tracks him or her down. But no, the plot line had to get weird – just like the Red John subplot ruined The Mentalist. The Blacklist is my favorite show. I hope the network… Read more »
My thoughts exactly… Let’s not make it weirder..
I agree as long as they stick to the original premis of the “Black List” and continue to have Red expose the bad guys and stop this whole back story and focusing on the daddy daughter thing it is actually getting muddled and unclear. You set the ending as just that like the final episode where they come to a coming ground and escape together . this is a poor twist. Bring them back clear away from where you are heading and get back to the job at hand. It would be a shame not to pick this up for… Read more »
