A new season of The Doctors is coming soon but it will have a very different look. The thirteenth season of the syndicated series will premiere in September with a new studio, new format, and a new host.
Dr. Ian Smith is taking charge of the series and previous hosts Sonia Batra, Judy Ho, Nita Landry, Andrew Ordon, and Travis Stork will not be returning. This season will have the focus of helping people deal with the times we’re living in at the moment.
More about season 13 of the daytime series was revealed in a press release.
“The Emmy Award-winning series THE DOCTORS today announces it will debut a new format and host when it premieres its 13th season on September 21. What do you think? Are you a fan of The Doctors? Will you watch the new season of this syndicated series next month? Will you miss the previous hosts?
why dont they still have the great doctors on the show,,,,, they are the best we dont need a new one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i only want the doctors that was on not a new one,,,,please bring them back i will only watch them
I will NOT be watching because Dr. Travis Stork will not be there. Very disappointed in this move. The original cast was wonderful. Why the change?
Excellent. Way to lead the way forward to a better life. Glad CBS is leaning in to all that is going on in America and the world. Dr Ian is the Perfect choice to host/lead!
I, for one, am so disappointed that you took my favorite doctors off this show… why?
It was my husband’s most favorite show of all..
we are not going to watch the new show..
The saying is “ if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it”
I will not be watching the new show. Very disappointed that the show that I’ve enjoyed for years has been cancelled and a new format is being introduced.
I will definitely miss the old hosts! I loved this show. Fantastic information I hope the new show discusses the current state of our medical system and prescription drugs and what we , as consumers can do to get the best and most cost effective services.
Carol – I was very upset with the news regarding the change of format. The original format was informative and interesting. I liked seeing and learning about different medical issues. I will not be watching the new format. Dr. Travis and Dr. Ortan were the best. Too bad you decided on making this move.
Just so sad that all the good Emmy Award Winning Shows Keep Getting cancelled and Replaced with People that’s Not Worth Watching The Doctors Talk with the original cast or change the name of the show because it’s not them they made it to season 13 not this new show what a bad change will not be WATCHING!!!
I’m sad this morning after I found out the original doctors would not be returning they’re taking ALL the GOOD SHOWS OFF the AIR and replacing them with shows that aren’t worth my time to even watch there taking Emmy Award Winning Shows Off the air Big Mistake I WILL NOT BE WATCHING THE NEW SHOW THE DOCTORS WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL DOCTORS!
If you’re changing the show
And you’re changing the format of the show
Instead of leaving the doctors faith of you were done you need to change the title of the program because it will no longer be the doctors with the viewers aren’t stupid do you think we won’t notice that the show has changed do you think that we aren’t angry shame on you
I won’t be watching the new doctors know I like the old format I like Travis stork as the host and I like all the other doctors that I’ve always been on there
There’s Already enough of this new kind on and I’m not interested at all and I’m really upset that the original doctors won’t be on so the answer would be no I won’t be watching
I am a nurse who is an avid fan of The Doctors. This show fills a niche that other shows Do not. There is nothing like it and it covers many topics, all presented in a way for all to understand. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it is the old saying which fits here. Once this show leaves the air a huge void will be created and with it goes my attention. So sad and will truly miss all the wonderful doctors that have taught the viewers much
So for sure two daytime ABC shows have gotten canceled so they can be replaced by COVID-19 news and updates as if we don’t already have enough of that information coming across every channel. People need a break from it sometimes.ABC you suck for shutting down shows people actually watch
I completely agree we have enough of this other crap and we don’t need more doctors was actually very informative and interesting and it’s a damn shame that it’s not going to return to original format.
I think this is a huge mistake. I don’t know what ABC did to lose these amazing doctors that touch on every day issues. Now we get one more talk show with one doctor that gives his opinion of COVID-19 now, enough is enough!!!
I am beyond disappointed. This show provided so much information on so many levels. The team of doctors were phenomenal. My background is medical. This team of excellence will be missed. The new show has been dropped from my local network.
