If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

We also love this show. WE really want to see through episodes 22 as well.
WEll written, awesome actors and am very disappointed to hear it may
be cancelled.
I absolutely love this show. It has the makings of a great show. The story line is intriguing and the acting is great. I really hope that they change their minds. It’s discouraging that the good shows are being cancelled and the junk stays on and on.
Dear Sirs:
Pulling this great show would be a huge mistake!
Have you thought about airing it on a better night and time?
We all enjoy it so much!
We love this show. We love the acting and the writing!!
Please don’t cancel it!!
I love The Firm! I think it is a great show and only getting better. It leaves me on the edge of my seat, I’m sick of shows that I can figure out half way through the episode, The Firm keeps me guessing and interested!!
Please stay!
Love “the Firm” Hope it doesn’t get canceled It beats CSI any day of the week!!
I look forward to this show every week! I am so surprised it got bad ratings!! This is by farmy favorite show.
We love The Firm. I have got a couple of friends hooked on the show
I like the firm also and was ready for tonight’s esposide. Did something push the time up and with the firm still come on? I hope it is not canceled. If so NBC will lose me as a watcher. First it was the show knight rider then the cape, now is the firm next?
BRING BACK THE FIRM! JOSH IS THE MAN!
I was shocked to read this article. My husband and I love the show. The story line is original and captivating. I think NBC was wrong to air it on Thursdays because there are too many good shows already. There is only so much you can watch in one night. I think Saturdays are a great TV night, personally. Please don’t cancel it.
I am still hoping that The Firm will be on tonight. The program is very well written and acted by all characters. If people did not catch the first episode and then could not figure out the story, then start it over again. I love this program.
I love this show and look forward to it every week. I can’t believe it did not get good ratings. I hope that NBC will at least let it play out the first season.
M husband and I love this show, I hope it doesn’t get cancelled, I like the way it has a different storyline each week but the sub plot keeps going. If they are going to cancel it I hope they at least finish the 1st series as I want to know how it ends!!!
We thoroughly enjoy “The Firm”!! It is a much needed and refreshing change from all the sex crime shows and reality shows! We watch it “on demand” if we miss it on Saturday nights.
