It was a very disappointing debut for this high-profile legal drama. In addition to the weak cumulative ratings, the early numbers indicated that many viewers tuned out as the two hour premiere progressed. Fewer people are expected to watch the next episode and The Firm already can’t afford to lose any viewers.
Compared to The Cape’s premiere one year earlier, the peacock network is down by 46% in the demo and 25% in total viewers. The Cape fell to a low 1.2 in the demo before being cancelled by NBC.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like The Firm TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Phenomenal show! Fast paced…unique. My whole family (two adults and daughter mid 20s watches it and we would be truly disappointed if The Firm is canceled. This is one of very few shows I watch…KEEP it!
I HAVEN’T HAD A FAVORITE PROGRAM THAT I WATCH IN SO SO VERY LONG MAYBE 15 YEARS AND I HAVE NOW , IT IS THE FIRM .. OR IS IT HAD? WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THE NETWORKS WHEN THEY HAVE A WINNER THEY ALWAYS MOVE ON TO THE NEXT WEIRD SHOW THEY “WANT” US TO WATCH.. ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND GROWN CHILDREN WATCH IT ALSO. IF THEY WOULDN’T CHANGE THE DAYS AND TIMES AND CANCEL IT FOR BASKETBALL AND EASTER THEY WOULD HAVE HAD A GOOD SHOW. WE GET READY TO WATCH IT AND SPEND TIME TRYING TO… Read more »
I read yesterday that The Firm is definitely cancelled. Cannot believe that a show with such great character actors, such incredible suspense and good plots for each episode, that it was still cancelled. Loved listening to Josh Lucas’s voice, it’s unmistakeable and alluring. Loved his role in the show. Wondering if this Saturday’s show will be the last and if the story will be concluded at all. I think that because it was moved around a lot of times, it meant that viewers like myself often didn’t know when it would be on and missed a few episodes. I feel… Read more »
It is the best show on TV!!!
I absolutely love this show. Especially Josh Lucas. I agree with John’s comment above…it is the time slot. It should be on at either 7:00 or 8:00, not 9:00. My whole family love this show. Please don’t cancel it.
I absolutely love this series and I just love Josh Lucas. He is a winner. and he is sooooooooooo handsome. I wish it was on at either 7:00 or 8:00, rather than 9:00. I think, it is the time slot. That’s the problem. My whole family watch it!. Please don’t give it the axe, it is an amazing show and the only one I love!
Just found it. did not know about it. i love it. needed more advertisement.
Keep the show! Interesting , appropriate older kid family content, not to much gore etc., etc.! I am certainly tired of the reality shows, those are exploiting real people!
I rarely watch any network tv shows. This one caught my attention and I love it. I’m vwry disppointed that it’s cancelled. I had trouble finding it during Feb. and March because it was moved around due to basketball tournaments. How many “reality” shows do you think the audience can stand? They are the reason I avoid the main networks. This is a good drama, with good characters. I love the action and suspense.
This is a really good show. My wife and I really enjoy it. We were upset that it wasn’t on tonight.
I really enjoy watching The Firm series. I just check my TV listing and saw where it was not going to be on tonight. I don’t understand why. This is an outstanding show.
LOVE IT!
This is one of the only shows I make time to see – either on t.v. or online – haven’t missed a week yet! You don’t need knowledge of the movie to enjoy the series. Good storylines, in addition to an ongoing conspiracy, which keeps you coming back to see what’s going to happen next. Very well done – and I know different ages enjoy this, because of my own age, in addition to friends of varying ages who also enjoy it. Please keep it NBC! Too good to lose – lazy viewers just don’t like to think much while… Read more »
Compared to other mystery type shows this is a winner. Wake up and move it to a better time slot.
