After having to endure nearly a year of rumors and false hopes, fans of The Game are finally getting the news they’ve been waiting for.
First airing on UPN, The Game began as a spin-off of the long-running comedy, Girlfriends. The series centers around a first year medical student (Tia Mowry) who chooses to follow her pro-football boyfriend (Pooch Hall) to San Diego. Others in the cast include Brittany Daniel, Coby Bell, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, and Barry Floyd.
In September, news surfaced about the show being revived but nothing happened. In October, there were more rumors but still nothing happened. Then, in November, the cast reunited on The Mo’Nique Show. Promos showed the host asking the cast if The Game was coming back but that portion was edited out of the final broadcast without explanation.
Last month, a much stronger rumor about The Game’s return surfaced with the show’s stars insinuating that an actual announcement would be forthcoming.
Today, BET made it official. The Game will be coming back in the last few months of this year.
There’s no definitive word yet on how many episodes have been commissioned or if some or all of the castmembers will return. We’ll keep you posted as details become available.

YES!! PLEASE BRING THE GAME BACK. I LOVE THE SHOW. I WATCH THE RERUNS OVER && OVER AND STILL I GET A GOOD LAUGH EVEN THOUGH IM ALREADY PREPARED TO KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. IF THE GAME COMES BACK ON AIR IT WOULD MAKE ME VERY PROUD WITH ONE EXCEPTION…PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS. IT WOULDNT BE THE SAME WITHOUT THEM.

i new the game was comming back out. it would have been a very foolish thing to do. think about the money and the rateings. its finna be a great fall for me.
They should bring the show back and for more then just one season. It is one of the most watched tv shows out there. It would be nice if they would stop taking shows off the air that people really love. All of my favorite shows was taken off the air including the Wayne Brothers with no explanations. This is just cruel to people, I say “LET THE CONSUMER HAVE A VOICE”. Please return it to tv…THANKS A BUNCH!!!

I love the Game. I am so happy, excited about the fact that they are coming back. But it will not be the same if all of the characters do not return.
