As fans of The Glades know all too well, the TV series was cancelled by A&E after four seasons, leaving a big unresolved cliffhanger. TV Line’s Matt Mitovich recently asked star Kiele Sanchez for her thoughts.
Since The Glades was cancelled (and no one I know that watched the show can figure why), will it ever come out who shot Jim on his wedding day? –Peggy
Having already asked Matt Passmore for his take, I more recently asked Kiele Sanchez if she knew who gunned down her TV groom. “I actually like to spread the rumor that [Callie’s] son shot Jim. But no, I have no idea who did it,” said the actress, who is now the female lead on DirecTV’s Kingdom (premiering Oct. 8).
Beyond that, Sanchez had no “optimistic news” to offer regarding any follow-up. As for her own Season 5 wish list, she hoped to see Manus’ and Carlos’ home lives explored, as well as see what married life is like for Callie, Jim and “a kid going through the awful teenage years.”
What do you think? How do you think the cliffhanger should have been resolved? Would you liked to have seen Jim and Callie as a married couple?
No season 5? That sucks!
I think it is disgusting the way the show was dropped at such an
vital point too the show it would have been great to see
the couple get married.
Maybe Netflix is going to have to put a Spoiler Alert on these shows. “Due to the network’s callous disregard for the fan base, this show will be cancelled on a whim, and these episodes will be all you will have. Also be prepared for the series to end in a very unsatifactory cliff-hanger! No Happy Endings, here!”
Amen to that! I hate these cliff-hangers where you know you will NEVER know what happens to the characters. You get to know them, and the… nothing!!
Somebody half to bring back glades I say it was rays mom jealous mad Jim broke there perfect family the best show ever
I think they should have got married also think it was ray who killed jim.
I still can’t believe the series is cancelled. I just finished watching the seasons so far from Netflix and really miss the characters already. I seriously hope we will all get a chance to enjoy one more season, why not even more if people keep watching. Greetings from Finland!
Can’t believe it’s canceled just as jim and Callie have finally got sense and are getting married alot more series to be made sat here watching ep2 s1.
i hear you David. I was told once that when you say “someone” should do something, look in the mirror and see “someone”. I would sign also. A & E might think all publicity is good publicity, but i doubt that their sponsors would agree it they were paying attention. If the thumb sucking idiots at A&E pulled their heads out of the sand they might realize that alienating all us faithful views unleashed a lot of people with mouths that tell a lot of others. Keep it up A&E and we will watch you go down the tubes. DO… Read more »
A&E you suck! First longmire and now the glades, I won’t be watching anymore of your shows, you suck us in and then cut us off! Bad way to do buisiness
someone should start a petition to let the network kmow how serious we are about this. i would sign in a minute and others would too.
A happy ending would have been nice, but i doubt that the Witness Relo Marshal would be the culprit. Those looks everyone refers to struck me as concern for Jim and the fact that they didn’t know where the heck Ray was. he seemed to go along w/what Jim wanted in spite of his better instincts. i did think he had a bigger role in the series in his future. As for who shot Jim, i think it was Ray’s mom who evidenced unstable signs. i think she blamed Callie for all her pain, followed Jim to the new house… Read more »
I totally agree with Gailey Sweet! Until I heard that they had cancelled the show I figured Jim just wanted to move on to movies or something and that the Marshall who told him Ray was far away would step in to solve the murder. It was Ray who was helped by his mother. Eventually, maybe in a season or two, after Callie got to be a M.D. and the kid got over learning that his dad was a murderer who broke his mother’s heart, Callie would marry the former Marshall who has taken Jim’s job and at least they’d… Read more »
Why would you do this? It shows A&E knows nothing (or cares) about customer satisfaction
It seems to me that the group that took the boy to see his Dad is in this along with Ray and his mother. (this is because of looks from the man and the house he bought had no friends of Rays in the vicinity. Do not think the boy had anything to do with it. Would really like to think they made it to the hospital in time. Fast forward, Jim survived and has a possible chance of becoming whole with a lot of exercise and Callie’s loving care he has a wonderful wheelchair that takes him thru the… Read more »
Why would they do this why do people not do a boycott
some of us are!!!
It goes to show why I don’t watch new shows any more, it seems to be only “reality” crap is all that’s going and I will never, ever watch a show on a&e again. First the glades then longmire….yep never again.
I just finished watching all four seasons on Netflix. I am appalled to now find out that there is no season 5, leaving us hanging with an ending like that. What a horrible way to end this show! A&E either needs to bring this show back to bring good closure to this story or they need to sell the show to another station who will. Please!
i agree!!! A & E has made an awful mistake and huge disservice to their viewers. I (and most of the people i know) are sick of all the werewolves, zombies and vampire shows. There is nothing to relate to and totally a waste of time. A show like Glades is a breath of fresh air and, from what I’m seeing, really appreciated. I don’t know what A&E could do worse then the way they sucked in a huge fan base then dropped them like a hot potato. Not only do i not watch their network anymore (nothing much to… Read more »
Amen!!! I absolutely agree….,
Seems like a lame way to end a series What’s up leaving a story that, suspenseful and unfinished? I’ve never seen a series end so up in the air. Does A&E like that sort of thing
