The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.
Thanks for everyone who watched #theinbetween no second season but you can stream our 10 episodes on Hulu or the NBC app! Love you guys!

What do you think? Did you like The InBetween TV show on NBC? Would you have watched a second season in 2020?
I very disappointed that The Inbetween was cancelled. This is a show that should have been given a chance to get an audience.
I loved this show. Left us hanging. I watched every episode. It was on when they wanted it to fail in the summer. Maybe they will bring it back some day.
I was a big fan of Medium, never missed a season. I was really excited when Inbetween started screening and really enjoyed the episodes. See this happening far too often these days , really annoying and VERY DISAPPOINTING!
So disappointed that The Inbetween wasn’t renewed. Loved the show.
What a mistake! This show was fantastic! Just like The Village it never got promoted well. I can’t believe this. Garbage rules on tv but good family shows don’t. NBC blew it again.
I loved this show. Never missed an episode. It was one of the best shows on.
I hate that NBC didn’t give it a chance. It seems like the only shows on tv these days are teenager shows. I don’t know about everyone else’s teenage kids but mine are definitely not watching tv. They are busy on phones and game systems.
I myself I am a stay at home mom that watches alot of tv.
I’m disappointed with the cancellation, don’t know how they get those scores but I don’t think it matters it was a “
Business decision probably if the show were about mafia and murders the show wouldn’t be cancel
I hate they cancelled this show..
I hate this show was not even giving a chance..I loved it and never missed it.. It upsets me that ever time a good show starts .. it’s cancelled… This bites…
I watched every episode. What a shame it was a good show.
Unfortunately this was expected! I enjoyed the show and loved the characters. Darn!
Sad to hear no second season, but then I’m getting used to dissapointments is network programming and loosing interest in Networks. I mainly watch my vast collection of DVDs. . . Hopefully they will at least release at DVD set for us to purchase.
Very disappointed, enjoyed the show, only televised the show during summer,,unfair rating system,,,why does the network axe the good shows… GREED is taking over…but it’s never saciated!
You aired during the summer duh most are out enjoying the season. It is an excellent adult show that should be given a second season but no, nbc is all about the MONEY!
Great show…I can’t believe no 2nd season
