The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.
Thanks for everyone who watched #theinbetween no second season but you can stream our 10 episodes on Hulu or the NBC app! Love you guys!

What do you think? Did you like The InBetween TV show on NBC? Would you have watched a second season in 2020?
Yes I really enjoyed the show. I am sorry to see it go. AT& T had the show blocked on many cable systems due to contract issue this may have hurt rstings
to bad this was a great show, better than evil, which is going to be turned into na soap opera between the woman and priest to be soon.
The InBetween was such a great show and I am very disappointed that it is canceled. I would love to have a 2nd season.
Definitely one of the better shows that I have seen in a while. My family and I were looking forward to seeing a second season.
I love the show. !!!!! I couldn’t wait for Wednesday to come
I don’t know why NBC keeps getting rid of great shows. I agree with the other comments. Get rid of some of those game shows. I loved The Inbetween! The characters were interesting and the storyline intriguing. NBC is losing out on a fantastic program. Hopefully, another network will pick up all the great shows NBC gets rid of.
I really liked this show! It reminded me of one of my favorite shows, Medium. It was a great show with an extremely good concept. However, I was afraid that it would not be renewed and I think that’s a mistake. It’s a great summer replacement show and I think you should rethink cancelling it. It was much better than the lame game shows that were on. Actually it’s the only show I remember watching this summer! SMH… Why do you cancel the good ones?
I enjoyed this show very much. I would have watched at least 3 more seasons. Like Mr. Blackmore & Mr. Silver. Wish it would come back
I love this show, I will hate to see it go. Theres not a lot of show to watch when it came on and its different, exciting, scarly, loving all rolled into 1. Hoping someone will pick it up
Why, oh Why? One of the Best new shows this summer and you axed it? SMH…get rid of some of the dumb game shows and give us something worth turning on the TV! Hopefully, another network will pick it up and NBC will loose more viewers!
The InBetween was one of the most innovative show on television with an ensemble of amazing actors. NBC once again dropped the ball. That was the only show worth watching on their lame network.
That was really the only show I watched this summer that was not on cable. Get rid of all those dumb game shows you flooded the summer season with and keep the inbetween.
Totally agree seems that games shows are taking over prime time and I’m not a game show watcher.
thank the no attention span millennials for the bloated “game / competition /reality” shows infesting network tv, a good show isnt given a chance anymore, because its cheaper to put on bad shows like those instead of shows with substance instead of fake reality/love and prizes.
What ?. Can another network pick this show up please. I really want to know who is making the decision to cancel them out ( you don’t know entertainment).
I think your ratings suck, you remove every good show that’s on because ratings are to low. Maybe it’s because you’ve had crap on for so long people are just streaming movies instead of watching tv. The only thing that’s on half the time are reality shows cause they are cheap. Pretty soon no one will be watching them either, then what will you have??
I cannot believe there is no second season. It was a very good show. Loved the characters! Loss
