NBC had high hopes for The Michael J Fox Show when they committed to 22 episodes without even seeing a pilot. A year later, the sitcom’s been cancelled.
Loosely mirroring Fox’s own journey, The Michael J. Fox Show revolves around a beloved TV news anchor (Fox) who stepped away from his career to focus on his family and his health after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The rest of the cast includes Betsy Brandt, Conor Romero, Juliette Goglia, Katie Finneran, Wendell Pierce, Ana Nogueira, and Jack Gore.
Last fall, the show debuted well (by current NBC sitcom standards) but the ratings sank with each subsequent week. The network kept it on the air despite truly terrible ratings. The network maintained that they believed in the show but ultimately pulled it after 15 episodes.
Now, NBC has officially cancelled the The Michael J Fox Show. Though they’d indicated that they would air the remaining seven episodes months ago, they still haven’t been released.
What do you think? Did you like this series? Do you think that it should have been cancelled? Were you hoping for a retooled second season?
The Michael J. Fox Show Will Not Be Seen in 2014 and 2015,so instead we may bring you some wild parties and more coed topless girls and naked women and ladies in bikinis and we may bring you some naked women being speid on in the shower and dressing rooms and in ladies locker rooms and nude baches with naked women on television and some lousy programmins on televison.

I LOVED THE SHOW…HOW CAN HONEY BOO BOO STILL BE RUNNING
IT SAYS THE SO MUCH FOR THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY.
SO SAD……….MICHAEL J. FOX IS A GREAT ACTOR, FATHER AND HUSBAND.
PLUS JUST THINKING OF HIS OWN HEALTH ISSUESI ADMIRE HIM EVEN MORE.
B.
We can have crap like BOO boo….and they cancel something. ..funny. I loved that show…i enjoy smiling.
It’s a fun show but.
It just another family sitcom, and although it runs well and is amusing, it doesn’t bring anything new to the mix. It’s the family, his friend/workmate, her sister and that’s about it.
I enjoy it a lot, but I can see how the jaded modern crowd pithed-out on lost and reality tv shows just aren’t into it. They’re a modern middle class well adjusted white family, no crazy or high drama…
I actually tried out “The Michael J. Fox Show” and regularly tuned in to the first few episodes. After I saw that the ratings and viewership had been dismal, I quit watching the show after the 11th episode (the “Christmas” episode). No surprise that “The Michael J. Fox Show” ended up being one-season-and-done.
The show was scheduled for the wrong night of television. People were already involved in viewing other good shows on other stations. MJFox is hilarious and so was the show. Good mix of actors. Need to play the show at a different time and different night and maybe even different season.
Agreed. It was a good ,light hearted, entertaining show in the wrong slot..it deserved another shot.
