Though it’s done well for The CW, The Originals has never matched the ratings for The Vampire Diaries. As the latter show goes through a creative shakeup this season, could this be the year that the spin-off surpasses it? A Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals revolves around the world’s first vampires who’ve returned to reclaim New Orleans. The cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Leah Pipes, Danielle Campbell, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Favorite show! So much better than Vampire Diaries. Love the family dynamics. I will miss Cami. Hasn’t been such great chemistry since Klaus and Caroline (Vampire Diaries) which was fantastic. I always hoped Caroline would go to the Quarter.
